Love this place but hate the 1st come 1st serve policy. Get there 1 hour before they open or wait hours to see a vet.

I've been a client for 20+ years. Hanson Meekins Animal Hospital in my opinion is the best in town! All of the Doctors are very caring. It's a walk-in clinic, so first come first served unless emergency. Sometimes the wait can be a little longer, but at least I know my baby will be seen. I'm so thankful for their service. In my opinion they should raise their office charge from $45 though, it's more than reasonable and I haven't seen it raise in a very long time.

My whole family has been bringing pets in to see Dan for longer than I've been alive — and I'm 29! — and the clinic as a whole has been supportive and loving to our animals. I've lost three dogs and a cat in the past few years alone (don't worry, they were all old) and the care the staff showed is just amazing.
Real talk, my cat of 15 years named Raven was my baby, the love of my life, and my whole world. I had to put her down due to old age and illness, and being able to be there and hold her until the end while the staff respectfully let me mourn meant everything to me. They will love your animals just about as much as you do — Dan always remembers our furbabies' names and treats them like the intelligent, emotional, and individual beings that animals are.
I love Hanson-Meekins and I couldn't ask for a better vet clinic to take care of my fluffy kids.
P.S. I believe this may be the 666th review for the clinic, happy spooky season y'all!

Really like Meekins. Sometimes it takes a while to be seen but they work hard to get to everyone. Would recommend.

The Veterinarians are top notch. No complaints with the quality of the care my dog received. The only complaint would be the wait time to be seen. They are pretty much the only vet in town and they are busy. It took over 2 hours to get in. The only other complaint is that they aren't open on weekends.

The care is worthy of 5 stars, but the greed knocks it down. Walk in only so they can see as many pets as possible to make the cash. This makes getting care impossible. Last 2 trips my parking lot wait time has been in excess of 2.5 hours in a hot car with my dogs. This is ridiculous and unconscionable. What vet requires dogs to sit in a hot car for over 2 hours to be seen?!??!! This one. Terrible customer service and they don't seem to care. Never in my life have I encountered vets with such little hearts. I imagine their bank accounts are nice and big, tho

Vet care? 5 stars. We've taken our pets here for 15 years. BUT the business structure has kinda collapsed on them, in my opinion, in terms of how long you have to wait. The past couple of years has gotten terrible-I was there over 3 hours just to get our kitten a booster shot. THREE HOURS. In the middle of the day on a Wednesday (so not the known/expected high volume days/times). This has repeatedly been the case for the past couple of years; it used to be an hour maybe 90 mins but I haven't been able to get in an out of there in less than 2.5 hours for awhile now. Unfortunately, we are going to be trying another vet office because it's just not feasible to spend half a day for general care of our animals. Doubtful it is for anyone, really. In unsolicited advice, if they were to make available some days/times for actual appointments, this might not be an issue.
