Scott Kirkland totally screwed me upon refinancing my home 2 years ago. Then, when I told him that I was an unhappy customer that was now in a position that I couldn't qualify for a 2nd mortgage based on the work that Scott did, he really didn't care. I told him what he could do to appease me, and he basically wrote me off and stopped answering my emails and messages. Don't work with this guy- BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Scott and his team are the epitome of excellence! They were always on point, and ahead of the game. Their communication was always prompt and effective.They were thinking ahead and planning for our family's best interests far beyond my expectations. At one point within 3 weeks of closing our purchase of a home took an unexpected turn that seemed certain to kill the deal. When I talked to Scott not only did he have an answer, he had already considered the potential issue, planned a solution for it and was ready to put it into action. His team saved the entire transaction and our family could not be happier in our home. Even our real estate agent could not stop talking about how efficient and effective they are!

Beginning with the first moment my wife and I walked through the door at Root Mortgage we have been thoroughly satisfied. I had asked a friend for a referral to someone who would be thoroughly competent in the mortgage field ... plus, maybe share our faith-filled approach to the house-buying process. Scott Kirkland and Robert Day scored "off the charts" in both categories! They carefully walked us through the entire process, explaining all the latest "technology" for securing the best loan rate at the most affordable monthly payment. They both took calls, texts, or emails from me "after hours" on multiple occasions. They both showed us the courtesy of showing up on "closing day" to join in our celebration! They both have remained friends ... not just business acquaintances. My wife and I were incredibly blessed by Scott's and Robert's expertise and genuine care for us throughout this significant house-buying experience!

Scott and team were ABSOLUTELY amazing! Not only were they fast, and efficient, they clearly put customer service first. I cannot say enough about Scott Kirkland and Root Mortgage. Scott had Sherry and myself come in for a presentation where he discussed our financial situation, explaining what we should or shouldn't do, the rates we were eligible for and an explanation about how the process worked. Scott let us know that he understood how overwhelming the process of buying a house could be and let us know that he was available for any questions we may have. From the beginning we felt as if we had a friend in the mortgage business. I would not hesitate to use Scott Kirkland and Root Mortgage again if I were buying another home.

From the beginning, Root Mortgage provided great customer service. Our first contact with them on this mortgage was by email, after hours.
We got an almost immediate response, and that level of responsiveness and customer service continued through the successful completion of the purchase of our home. We'll definitely use Root Mortgage again for any future financing needs.

Scott and the whole team at Root Mortgage did an amazing job with our transaction! They were in constant contact with us and got everything done on time and correctly. They were also able to work closely with our Realtor to get us pre-approval letters tailored to the homes that we were interested in, which really helped us when it came time to put in an offer. Everything went smoothly and we're now happily living in our new home.
