The owner is selling the business so they aren't buying clothes.

I love Plato’s as a whole but this is one of the worst locations. They do not have a very good selection of clothes and their employees are not friendly. They actually have dirty, ripped, and poor quality clothes. Some of the clothes are good but you will definitely have a better selection and a better experience somewhere else.

Bad news for people with bladder or bowel problemsI have a spinal cord injury which affected my ability to hold it. I thought stores have to offer their bathrooms as per the Ada

I don't know how a small business owner turns a good profit, or retains any returning satisfied customers, if when arriving twenty minutes before close have the front door locked on you by one of the 4 or more young ladies relaxing on the counter tops, especially during the holiday spending rush. I spent over $200 at your store yesterday but at my dismay I purchased my son-n-laws air force ones a size too big and sped him across town to exchange for the correct size only to be met by a locked door, 20 minutes before posted closing time.

They are so confusing with wanting to buy your nice used clothes that you bring in. They’re friendly but I don’t like shopping there. Prices are kind of spendy too.

Came here for the first time. Online says they buy everyday. Comes into the store and they said they’re not buying… wasted 30 mins of my time and gas… disappointed

Called Beaverton location and they said come in 30mins-1hr before closing on their recording to sell and talked to a nice associate on the phone. Decided to go to Gresham since I was traveling from Portland and was a little closer. Walked through the door at 5:01pm on Sunday 8-6-23, waited 1 min to speak to someone and they said sorry, we shut the system down already. Was hoping to try Plato’s closet and have a better experience than Buffalo Exchange, hopes gone. Wouldn’t have been so bad if I had a car and didn’t get a ride from a friend. Thanks for turning me into a Karen

I was pretty bummed how this location has really went downhill since they moved from Clackamas to Gresham. They use to take a lot of really nice trendy clothes until they moved to Gresham. I had slowly stopped going as much due to the quality of clothing currently. Most of the clothes that they are selling either have stains, noticeable wear down, rips, really dirty shoes and now are so overpriced for a re selling store. When trying to sell clothes, I asked if they looked at the shoes I brought and the lady rolled her eyes when I kindly asked if they looked because I had been in there and noticed they didn’t even move the bag of shoes. Guess they need to be more clear about what they are looking for then just saying trending brands since they don’t even take the brands they are asking for really. They gossiped about how excited they were to get off and not have to look through clothes etc. instead of helping customers. I’m not one to complain ever but it just really bothered me how unprofessional and snoody this location has become. I had put a brand new this year bought pair of glow in the dark vans to sell and I know that they would have sold but it’s their loss. I hope the staff learn to treat customers better. Disappointed and I wish that it was like the old Clackamas store. Really went downhill.

Very lazy crew who apparently has to take ‘lunch breaks’ together at 630 pm 1.5 hrs before close and temporarily shut down the whole store. Would not recommend this store. Received a text saying my stuff was ready for pickup and showed up and they wouldn’t let me in. Told me I had to come back.

Their inventory used to be good a few years ago with trendy clothes at low prices, but recently there's been A LOT of Shein and outdated items at high prices. Selling is also a hit or miss (usually miss) because they're very selective and I can never tell what they're looking for specifically. Overall, it might be worth checking out if you've never been there, but sadly, there's no reason to revisit.

Lazy crew at this store is my guess!! If people dont do their job they get fired!! It's that simple. Those employees need to be on camera. They don't seem to want to work when buying and selling clothes is their business!! It was before 6pm and they close at 7pm. You might be better off having a garage sale since they think it's okay to pick and choose their customers. With 3 large bags on the bus usually, she's been turned away 7 times.

They seem to have a ton of clothes for men and women, and a lot of it's good stuff, but I can't seem to figure out exactly what type of stuff they are looking for. If I bring in what they already have on their racks then they don't need it bc their racks are full of the same kind of stuff. If I bring the stuff they SAY they are looking for...the brands and styles in good condition....I still can't seem to get them to buy more than a couple things at a time. Really it seems like they carry a lot of stuff that's kind of outdated...and the stuff I bring is more current, better brands etc...but they don't want to buy it. Makes no sense to me.

I bought a yellow pair of Adidas yesterday. They had to be held behind the counter while trying on other items. They were laced up with white laces but they had the original yellow laces in a bag in the toe of the shoe.I live a few hours away and I was beyond disappointed to find the yellow laces missing when I unpacked my bag.An employee stole the laces out of shoes the while they were being held at the counter.

I’m currently sitting in the Gresham store. There are four young ladies working near the counter. No one is interacting with the customers and we had to ask one to let my granddaughter in a room. This request was met with abruptness for we were interrupting her conversations with the others girls. Three have been continuously on their cells and primping in the mirrors. I use to bring all four of my children to the Clackamas location 20 years ago every year for school and this is not the same Plato’s in the least. As many others have said, do not bother. Limited clothing, yet well kept minus the need for a sweep.
