Haven’t been to a Fastenal for a few years and now I remember why. Their supply of fasteners was lacking and counter help didn’t seem very knowledgeable. I ended up not making a purchase…wouldn’t have posted this review but they wouldn’t let me use their restroom which was located right by the counter….I guess I wasn’t a customer… ?I should have just driven to Parkrose hardware or Winks to begin with.

I went in to get parts to refurbish my old cast iron cement mixer. I went in and ask any one of the 2 employees to come out to my truck to look at it so we could figure out what parts i needed. I was looking to buy a new motor, switch, flywheel(replace to a sprocket for chain drive) New chain(to replace the old belt)...Neither 2 of the employees that were in there on 5/35/18 at 4:25 pm would get up off their butts to come outside to look at it. I told them i couldnt bring it in and both of them looked like that was toooooo much of an effort to get up and bring a note pad to take notes. I walked out the door and said i am taking my business elsewhere. From what i have figured out from the website, all my parts would have added up to roughly $400.00 or more from my guesstimate . Guess their not up on how to help a customer.

I called asking for a price on a product we purchase. Ben was very helpful and found the price and noted he had it in stock for immediate shipment. Found him to be very helpful and courteous
