Not sure what Stacy D's deal was, but Jo is a professional. She listens to what we want and she actually cares about her clients. Kids, adults, she doesn't discriminate. Always on time, and if she runs into an issue which only happened once she lets us know. The whole family has been taken care of by her for years.

JO is amazing when it comes to color. I've been here twice now, and every time I leave, I'm so impressed with how vibrant and beautiful my hair looks. She also does amazing haircuts. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair, even 6 weeks later. She helped reccomend the right products so my color would last as long as possible, and even showed me how to use hair tools I've bought from her salon. 10/10 I highly reccomend.

Jo is FANTASTIC. I've been seeing her regularly for about a year now and have never had a negative experience. I've been to dozens of salons and my usual experience is to have to go home and fix my hair myself. Not with Jo! Jo always does extensive consults to make sure I'm getting exactly what I want, and when she adds a little flair, it always fits me to a T. I always feel comfortable and looked after at Shear Elegance. I don't have enough nice things to say.

I had an appointment scheduled with Jo at Shear Elegance today. I showed up on time and the gate was still closed and the lights were off. I stood there dumbfounded for a few minutes, said hello loudly a few times, then texted the salon and walked away. After a few minutes, she texted me and asked if I was coming to the appointment. I said no. You know it's ok to not be on time every once in a while if you reach out to your client and let them know. I received no notice that she would not be open on time. And, to top it all off this was my second appointment there and I had the same experience for my first appointment. At that appointment, I walked away figuring that she forgot and when I walked back by a few minutes later she was open. Today was too much being the second time this happened. She also sent me a text this morning asking me to let her know if I was going to be a few minutes late. Doesn't a customer deserve the same courtesy? I found this to be very unprofessional and to top it all off, she charged me 12.50 as a no show when she was the one who was not open at my appointment time. Save yourself the hassle and stress and go somewhere else. I never got an apology or anything. Instead she told me I was disrespectful to her. This women needs to understand how business is supposed to work. If you make an appointment with someone, be there with the lights on, on-time.

Found mollee by mistake! Wow what a great (sad)mistake.. I love her energy (wow did i read that wrong),makes you feel so comfortable from the get! This was back Feb WAS A HUGE MISTAKE!! I waited for well over a month for a hair color. She canceled 2 days prior,kid was sick! I get that!!The problem is SHE HAS NEVER CALLED TO RESCHEDULE!! She grew up in the town I raised my kids in..today is 5/15 well over a month! It's all good I did a better job! Sad part is I read her completely wrong!SHE KNEW HOw EXCITED I WAS!Service: Hairstyling

I have always had a problem with flyaway hair and had some slight damage from dying my hair blonde. Today I went to see Mollee for a cut and color and she finished my hair with Olaplex and let me say this product is amazing, it made my hair look so healthy and feel so soft and contained my flyaway hairs! Best styling product I have used.

I called from outside the store due to sign that stated "appointment only", saw the lady ignore my phone call, walked in and asked if I could schedule an appointment, lady was very rude and said "I don't know where you think you're going to get an appointment in same day or the next in the state of Maine" so I just walked out, 0/5 she was so mean. Would not recommend.

Don't go here. Please. I want to keep this place all to myself. Jo is absolutely phenomenal. She's one of the very few people I've ever trusted enough to say, "do what you think would look good." She worked with me to pick the best color and highlights. She touches up my roots when that's the thing to do and retouches the highlights when it's the best time. She's friendly and professional, attentive and thorough. She's currently taking care of me, my daughter, and granddaughter. Making three generations look great. I haven't worked with the other stylists but I know for a fact - if they're in this shop with Jo, you can trust them.
