I’ve banked with people’s for over ten years. I’m going to be closing my accounts because they have become too difficult to use. They are outdated, their software is very outdated. Difficult to transfer money, to add people as receivers for the transfer, and security and safety for these transfers. The last straw is that most locations have removed their outside atm machines meaning you cannot deposit or withdrawals money on the weekends. They used to be a friendly community bank that would call me when I was overdrawn, the tellers would know who I was when I came in, all the small town perks. No reason to stay with them anymore.

Just started account here. Have cashed checks in past and tellers were always friendly. Brad helped me get account set up in an effecient manner while being friendly. Will update rating based on personal experience.

We have our business accounts at People's Bank in Central Point and to say we have lost confidence in their competence at this branch would be putting it mildly. I do not think that our business (small) should be that difficult for them to manage so we are going to move our business to the Biddle Branch in Medford and give them a shot BEFORE we leave them all together!

We have been with this bank for years and have continued to be disappointed, especially with the central point bank manager. Their policies are not up to date, you have to go through a long process in order to sign up for online banking, and the bank manager can override bank policies if she so chooses. Our biggest problem has been that deposits and checks are not available until next day-usually other banks a portion is available immediately. In this last instance, I wrote a check for $350 from my business account at another bank to deposit into my Peoples personal account, which we have done a million times over. The bank manager decided that I could not have cash back because she couldn't verify I had money in my other bank...ok, that's frustrating but I understand. She called my other bank to tell them that I had given them an 'altered check' and she believed it to be fraud. Our business bank called us to verify, we verified that it wasn't fraud it was us trying to deposit into our personal account. They released the money. Our People's account shows that it is released but that a debit of $350 is still pending...the bank manager still claims that it hasn't been released from my other bank. I understand fraud is rampant today, but this is too far and doesn't make sense. If this was fraud, I would be stealing from my own bank account in one bank to give to my other bank account- I would be stealing from myself! Also, this isn't following policy any more- its been over 24hours, you checked with the other bank and funds are there. I feel taken advantage of at this point and I have never been treated like a criminal until now. This is not how you treat loyal customers. And, this should be illegal too.
