My must stop shop in Cannon Beach. They have so many great beach brands like Roxy, Quicksilver, Dakine, I think I saw Salt Life when I was there last, etc. They have water bottles, stickers, sandals, beach toys, sweatshirts, basically anything you might want as a souvenir. I’ve been coming here since the store opened forever ago and I would highly recommend it. I love Ter Har’s!!

I come to this store every visit to Cannon Beach Oregon. There is an employee there who is so helpful and kind. Her name is Debbie. If you shop there I hope she is working so you can see for yourself,

Super rude and way too expensive! Not what we expected as a tourist in their store. Felt like a pretty woman experience unfortunately. Just one staff, so hoping it was just her.

My twin sister and I were on a Cannon Beach for our 40th birthday. I was so excited to find a jacket at the store only to find that there was just one size medium. Cathy went out of her way to help us find the other size at the location in Seaside and had it saved for us. We now have matching jackets thanks to her amazing above and beyond customer service. She is awesome and we had such a great experience. This store has such a great selection of cool surf brands and other lovely items. We will definitely would be back and we are so grateful!

Tried to spend $50 on a water bottle but the owner refused to sell the lid I needed. Super weird and poor service to not offer sip lids for water bottles. Seems like a no-brainer for a summer-tourist gift shop.

Buyer beware. No returns accepted. Bought a pair of $50 sandals for my daughter, but after she put them on they hurt her feet. Tried to return them just minutes after purchase, but the owner refused. I had the receipt and tags in hand. And no where in the store was any sign that returns were not accepted. Very dishonest and sneaky business practice.Owner should be transparent about return policy, instead of shocking the customer with a "too bad for you" response.

PLEASE READ!!!Stores and product:Only giving two stars because I always shop at Ter Hars when I’m in Seaside and they have the best selection of surf wear. Seaside was in the middle of putting new product out so they were only selling their old line which was cool because it was all 70% off so we got a couple things for cheap! They advised us to come back the next day or head to the Cannon store as they were all setup with the new line. We had never been to the Cannon Ter Hars so we were pretty stoked..until we got there. The store is smaller so they didn’t have a good selection of the new surf wear at all. Hardly any clothes, swimwear, bags, towels or shoes/sandals and they didn’t carry any XS. Specifically Billabong, Volcom, O’Neill etc…so that was a huge bummer.Customer service:At first we were very satisfied with the customer service. One of the staff members was very kind and helpful to me and my daughter. She started us a dressing room and continuously checked on us while shopping to take more items to our room to free up our hands. She was super nice and we appreciated her so much!The cashier (short brown hair with bangs) was *extremely* inappropriate upon check out. I simply asked how her day was going and that unleashed a plethora of personal opinions on the brands, the designs, her personal political views, drugs, blah blah blah. I was in shock nor did I agree with anything she was saying so it was quite uncomfortable. I was just trying to get out of there at this point but she continued talking. She had nothing but bad things to say about the brands having mushrooms on their products and how mushrooms basically ruin people or make them go crazy. That she doesn’t agree with it and she tells other customers the same thing and to never do them…basically lecturing and harassing customers with her views while they’re shopping!! What?! First of all: we’re not here for that. Second: your opinion doesn’t matter and nobody cares so spare us all the time and effort you’re wasting. Third: why are elderly people running these surf shops? This was the case at both stores. Zero offense but you’re selling and representing brands that you don’t relate to and are slandering with your personal views! If you did your research you would find some amazing information on what Psilocybin is doing for people. In fact, I couldn’t think of a better candidate to take them than this lady! She needs an eye opening experience since she is very set in her ways and closed minded. Gas isn’t a nickel anymore, get with the times. Bashing on marijuana, or mushrooms..something that nature creates blows my mind. Yet alcohol and cigarettes are legal and those are the things that are ruining people.Short story long: keep your views to yourself while at work and do your research before making statements about things you know nothing about. We won’t be back to the Cannon Ter Hars. And hopefully the next time we do shop here they will be staffed with people that are more relatable to the products.The end.

I felt like I walked into my aunts home when I visited! The cashiers were so kind and welcoming. I visited from Maine this week and this was the best shop experience ever! Love this town!

I was on vacation in Cannon Beach, Oregon in July and we were shopping in the little town, which by the way is such a cute town and I love it, and we stopped in to Ter Har's. This shop is so cute, it had great summer selection. Lots of clothes, water bottles, accessories, stickers, cute bags, and more. It's a pretty crowded store though because of all the merchandise. I got a few things there including a bracelet. Originally, when I bought it, this bracelet was a bright peach color. I'm really disappointed because I've had it for about a week now and I've been swimming a few times and the color has completely faded. It's now white. I still like the bracelet because it has cute beads on it and it's still pretty even though it's not that color anymore but I am still sad that that color faded because I wear a lot of bracelets and I didn't have a bracelet that color. Overall, though, the store is really cute, a lot of cute merchandise, and I enjoyed my time there, just a little disappointed in my bracelet. But I do recommend if you're looking for cute summer pieces. Plus, it's in a very cute town. :-)

After walking to several stores on this strip, this store was moderately priced in comparison. I purchased a Roxy brand beach hat, a few stickers, and a limited edition Hydroflask. The store was extremely busy and we were there during the height of tourist season. Stores located in small towns, with heavy tourist traffic, I anticipate paying significant mark-ups. I didn't experience that here. They had a good selection of well known surf brands and I would definitely recommend stopping in. Loved the no sales tax, though my credit card may not. :)

Our quick stop over in the area was rewarded with the awesome shopkeeper here at Ter Har’s. She was helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about her shop and the area. My wife bought too much as a result, but she did so gladly.

Overpriced and overstuffed:I am one who understands the markup which occurs with shops in tourist locations. Thank you Capitalism. Ter Har’s appears to take that markup and run with it an appreciable amount. Compared to most other shops along the main drag in Downtown Cannon Beach, it definitely sticks out for its prices but not in a good way.The store itself is also very busy in the sense that there is little rhyme or reason to how the merchandise is arranged. Perhaps it is my small brain failing to grasp a higher plane of thinking. Regardless it’s easy to get quickly overwhelmed by how much stuff is there.With many other options for shopping, you would not miss much by skipping Ter Har’s.

We went for a last minute getaway to Cannon Beach and I got my feet and sox inside my boots sopping wet. Ter Har’s to the rescue… specifically, Paris. What a gem she is! Helpful, friendly, and so so nice. We will definitely be shopping there again.
