I'm shocked at some of the most recent reviews. My experience is totally different. My car is 28 years old and I recently had to go to several different shops for various issues going on and quotes. Canby transmission was the only up front shop that I interacted with!! Zach and the person who worked on my car (don't know his name) were transparent and honest, and fair with their pricing. I didn't feel like there were any pricing games that I experienced elsewhere. I know nothing about cars and I think this is often taken advantage of, but at Canby it wasn't that way (verified also by numerous other quotes I got for the same work, and the vibe) They were professional and did a great job, at a very reasonable rate. I even asked if they do more than just transmissions because they were extremely professional and detailed with the interactions from beginning to end. I highly recommend going here!

This shop is one of the best and most honest I’ve been too in a long while and very knowledgeable on everything that I’ve brought to them. Also Zach at the front desk has been very helpful and informative. 10/10 bravo

Undoubtedly the worst company I have ever dealt with. I took my truck in for diagnostic. Zac at Canby Transmission calls me after a little over a week stating that I need low pressure fuel lines replaced I asked how much and he said $700-$1,000 worst case. I gave them the green light. Shortly after that conversation he calls back the same day saying the truck still isn't starting and now I need to replace the high pressure fuel pump and Fuel Injectors.. Note.. I just got done having the high pressure fuel pump replaced before bringing it to Canby Transmission.. at this point I just paid what I owed for the fuel lines which turned out to only be $368.53 for two lines and two hours of labor.. so I paid that happily and got my truck towed to another mechanic... New mechanic received my truck and immediately called to ask me what fuel lines did i have done and I told him and he replied with "these are definitely not new". I called Canby Transmission back and they flat out told me they didn't do them and that it was a mistake that I got billed followed by instructions to bring my card down for refund. I finally got around to it went in there to literally get denied by Zac and the Owner of the company and got shoved out into the parking lot while Zac tried slapping my phone out of my hand luckily he missed but managed to rip my receipt and throwing it at me.... Tried reporting to the Canby police but over $368 buck on a Friday evening wasn't really worth the wait and added inconvenience... I will be reporting my experience on every advertising / social media platform possible including the BBB any other advice would be appreciated!

Have been hearing a lot of bad thing about you guys........ aggressive, stealing money, assault, making more things go wrong with the vehicle, instead of fixing the initial problem. Good luck on your company. Hopefully you get rid of Zac, he has brought most of the negative reviews...

Terrible do not recommend! Payed 3,999$ to get a transmission fix did not last a week before having issues then they blamed other things for the problem.

I am very disappointed with the service at this auto repair shop. I left my car for a battery charge and ended up with a whole slew of issues. First, I was told that the battery was fine, then I was offered a repair costing over $2500, to which I declined. After that, I was informed that the car couldn't be fixed at all and demanded payment for the diagnostic, the results of which were inconclusive. When I returned to speak with the director, the manager Zack was aggressive, yelling, threatening, and insulting. I didn't expect this from a professional service. I do not recommend this auto repair shop to anyone. It's better to stay away to avoid such unpleasant situations. Furthermore, Zack refused to provide the director's contact and stated that no money would be refunded.

Wonderful customer service, staff were understanding, and patient. When something went wrong they were swift to correct! They even ordered a tow vehicle for me when a different issue rose up and I was unable to move.A wonderful place to go to and highly recommended.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Jeff Marsh is a scam artist. He picks up vehicles with serious mechanical flaws and then masks them to make money on the engine and transmission. Then when you discover the defects, claims it must be your installation. Also misrepresents the condition of the equipment and where he got it. He will say it "remanufactured" when he actually ripped it off a totaled vehicle.

Have an older classic AMC car that the flexplate on the transmission failed. Canby Transmission got my car in, did the research required to find a replacement part and did an excellent job with the repair. Brought our car in to have a weird noise looked at and had a really good experience here. They thoroughly checked out our car right away and everyone was super helpful. Really recommend this spot!
