Just received my peony roots. I have to say I am impressed at the size and health of the roots. I recently bought a root at my local nursery and the ones from Brooks Gardens are like 3x the size. I will see how they do this coming summer, but like what I received.

Peonies, irises and succulents. The price on the succulents was so low we had to buy. Access is by Topaz Street which is a dirt road that narrows to one lane. It gets a bit rough with potholes and washboard, but we had no difficulty with a small passenger car. There are sufficient signs along the way to avoid taking a wrong turn. Free parking in mowed grass. No charge to visit.

We purchased 200 cut peonies from Brooks for our late May wedding and they were the star of the show! We picked them up the Thursday morning before the Sunday event. We took careful care of them while they opened and followed instructions, and every peony was honestly perfect. Going to pick out the colors a week before was so fun and the farm is gorgeous - I want to live in their peony field. I highly recommend a visit and buying cut flowers from them. We ordered immediately when they opened orders for the season in March to make sure to get our date reserved.

This is the root stock Brooks Gardens Peonies sent me. It is a beautiful, strong, and health root stock. So happy with it, I can't wait to see what it will look like in full bloom. The flower on the left is what it will look like.

The owner, Therese, clearly loves what she does and is so happy to share! We bought four peony plants to start and look forward to planting roots in the Fall

When I see a sign that says "Peonies," I follow it! With their soft sherbet colors or bright vibrant hues, ruffled petals or textured cones, I love them all! Plus, they smell so good! After a day in Salem visiting Schreiner's Iris Garden (spectacular garden filled with Iris, lupine, columbine, peony) and Adelman Peony Garden (exquisite) I passed a sign for Brook Garden Peonies and followed the trail of signs pointing the way. It's a bit off the beaten path and down a long gravel road (definitely had to wash my car afterwards!) that takes you past the garden's owners home to a large parking area next to a field of peonies. Mid May to mid June is the best time to go if you want to experience the peony, and iris, if full bloom. It's a spectacular sight with a huge variety in color combinations, petal shape and texture. Nothing like spending time in the beauty of nature to breath it all in. It has a way of grounding you and giving perspective to the greater world around you. This garden is not a structured garden for viewing like you will experience at Adelman's, where they have a formal garden in front and fields of peonies in the back. This is a field where you can wonder up and down the rows and identify peonies that you like from the hundred plus varieties, many heirloom. Many prolific bloomers. Next to the field is the covered area where the owners ring up your purchases. You can purchase gallon containers for your garden and bouquets of these gorgeous and fragrant flowers for your home. The owners are so friendly and clearly enthusiastic about their farm. They genuinely want their customers to be excited and have great results with their own peonies And offer tips on how and where to plant and how to get the most blooms. for the 2021 season, they are open May 1 through June 13 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am - 6 pm.
