“I've been with U.S. Bank here in Brookings for over 12 years now, and during that time they have treated me like I'm their ONLY customer! Whether being a retired US Navy Vietnam veteran has anything to do with that, I really can't say, but my best friend, who was a WWII, Korea and Vietnam war veteran, told me the exact same thing when I moved into the house next door to him!The folks who work at U.S. Bank are THE nicest, most polite, and helpful people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I don't know if that's a "small town" mentality thing or just very good upbringing, but regardless, they are one and all superb individuals!I suppose it could also be attributed to the bank's manager having the wisdom and foresight to pick great people to fill all the positions that needed filling. Whatever the case might be, I could not be more pleased with my banking experience at U.S. Bank. Even talking to their corporate folks has been a pleasure, the very few times I've needed to!I guess the bottom line is that if you're looking for a new bank to handle all your banking needs, look no further than the Brooking, Oregon U.S. Bank! They are THE best banking institution in America!”

“I was advised incorrectly. When your spouse passes, DO NOT CLOSE YOUR ACCOUT with their name on it for at least 6mths to 1 year. That way if something comes in with their name on it, you can't cash it, but you can deposit it, and then draw out some cash later.”

“The people with whom I've had face-to-face interactions at the Brookings location deserve five stars. They are friendly, polite, and very usefully helpful. Reaching anyone there by phone, however, is a miserable chore. Calling my personal banker's number (a local, 541-area-code number) gets me connected to what seems a corporate number with endless menus to navigate. Calling the number listed on your web page (an 877-area-code number, not local) gets me connected to a person in the bank, in the Brookings location, who can connect me to my personal banker, but this person says the number I called is not what I should have called, and she offered a third number. This situation is made worse if my personal banker is busy. Will somebody please get the phone numbers listed correctly on your web page?! The kind of telephone complicatedness I experience when I call would be improved--honest!--by reverting to the human "operator" and Party Line of the 1950s! Endless menus are bad for people who have entrusted their savings to Chase. It's a 40-minute drive for me to reach Brookings, so unfortunately, I need to use the phone most of the time. Nevertheless, as I said above, the human beings physically present at the bank are excellent.”
