Angry incompetent truck driver: We had a load of gravel delivered last year and the truck driver proceeded to dump the load on our gate. Didn't apologize. Just drove off. This year we decided to have some 4 way soil delivered--5 yards. I spent the day before making sure the delivery could be dropped 30 feet off the driveway--sent photos and got the all good. Driver shows up, and says he'll try and if he can't make it-- he'll just dump it on the lawn. He states that I told them yesterday that was ok--I never said anything close to that. He proceeds to say, "Do you want it or not!!". I sent him on his way. The guy needs to retire--he's bad at his job. Steer clear!

We intended on purchasing firewood today from nearby, Boring Bark (20+ year customers) but the parking lot was packed with trucks and trailers. We checked out Mt. Scott fuel and we got a 1500 pickup truck loaded with maple hardwood for $65 within 10 minutes. The price is the same as the other place but the wood is much better. I still have allegiance to Boring Bark, but I'm certainly going to grab my firewood, mulch and cinder rock here.

Mt Scott Fuel has good quality soil. Reasonable prices. Quick turn around time if there not to booked up. They are honest, professional and have good customer service. I have purchased product from both locations and wouldn't hesitate to refer them.

Easy to get to. Cashier friendly. Good directions to pick up wood. Loader driver dropped the scoop of wood. I loaded and left. Will buy more small loads here. It was all dried and split fir. They deliver but I dont need that much wood now.

We have used Mt Scott for two decades for bark and firewood. They have either delivered or loaded my trailer with approximately $8K of bark over the years, the latest being this past April. The bark has always been a quality product and delivered on time. The past two times I have purchase firewood, also this past April and again earlier today, it has been a different story. Out of 2 scoops of fir/alder mix, there were two full 40 gallon barrels of dirt, dust, and very fine unburnable chips, and one full 40 gallon barrel of kindling. In April, when I returned with my trailer and debris after unloading the burnable wood, the manager told me in so many words that "this is what he gets, so that is what I get". After an extensive conversation, and when I showed him all my receipts for wood and bark, he agreed to dump another half-scoop in my trailer.Today's load was an identical amount of unburnable debris and kindling, and was loaded by the same individual I dealt with in April, who seemed irritated to deal with me again. So, my lesson has been learned -- don't use Mt Scott Boring for firewood if you want a full scoop of quality firewood !
