Katherine Merten has been our veterinarian for the last five years. Currently, she is healing our mare who has a colic impaction and colitis. Her care and commitment of healing her illness has been exceptional. She has always answered our emergency calls at all hours, including holidays. We are grateful to have such a great veterinarian.

Kath has been our Vet for almost 2 decades. There are very few people in life that you can trust to always do a great job, Kath is one of those people. Not only does she go out of her way to help our animals she takes the time to help us cope with the stresses of animal injuries. Whether it be standard upkeep and vaccines to emergency call outs Kath is always there for us as a great Vet and a exemplary human being.

My horse had hurt himself and I called the vet I normally use and that vet was on vacation and didn't have any body covering him.I called around to a few Vets and no one was available. Thank Goodness because then I was given Dr Mertens number and I called and she was able to come out to the stables and look at my horse. She was very kind,helpful and knowledgeable. She is amazing with the horses. So much so that I feel like it was meant to be,because I have decided to use Dr Mertens as my horses vet.

Dr. Mertens, Thank you so much for your quick response to our recent colic emergency with my gelding, Dutch. I appreciate how you gave me the best information in that critical time frame to help me navigate the next course of action for him. Knowing that I would have your support and guidance made my decision easier to make. I'm happy and relieved to have Dutch back at home recovering from surgery.

This vet is truly amazing. Always friendly with the clients and provides great medical care. Can be a little late sometimes, but you will never be let down with Mertens Mammals.
