This was my first time visiting this store (I usually shop at the Century West Safeway) and I was verbally assaulted and threatened by the employee at the self-check area - all in response to my saying "jeezus christ" in frustration to having to repeat my transaction 5 times because their computer wasn't working. He responded "don't use my lord and savior's name in vain!" I responding calmly and to myself under under my breath "I can say what I want" and he aggressively grabbed my groceries (after I paid), swiped his card angrily at the register and said "you can leave. You're not welcome here. Please leave the store!" I was appalled and replied calmly "what? Are you seriously not giving my my groceries I just paid for because of your own religious beliefs?" He replied "yes!" I said "ok, I'd like to talk to a manager". He immediately and aggressively gave me my groceries and said "fine, here, take them you f-ing b-tch!" And as I walked away shaking my head, he yelled after me "and don't come back to this store or I'll call the police!" This altercation was witnessed by multiple other shoppers and even one of them checked if I was ok outside the store. I called once to my car after I calmed down (because I was so upset) and asked to speak to the store manager on duty. I was told she wasn't there but he'd take a message. I provided my name and cell phone and said I needed to report an employee who verbally assaulted me and threatened me. The man replied "well you verbally assaulted him too!!" And then said "I was the employee" and then he hung up on me. Of course the manager never called me because I can only assume he didn't pass on the message. The way that man snapped as soon as I said "jeezus christ" was scary - he does BOT belong in a customer service or retail position!! I am afraid to return to that store and am afraid of that employee who now has my name and cell phone number! This occurred between 5:45-6pm on 11/8/23.

Get in get your stuff get out quickly. That's what I like. Very helpful staff and it's actually possible to find what you need! Among groceries, there is a deli, coffee shop and I believe that's a pharmacy back there haha good work

Shout out to Brandon at the deli. I called and requested 2 veggie trays and 2 fruit trays for an event. Normally they want 48hrs notice but Brandon and the deli team prepared mine with a little more than 24 hrs notice. They looked beautiful! Fruit was fresh and sweet. Loved the humus with the veggies. Veggies were perfect. Thank you! I would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

A few months back, an employee accused me of "pretending to go to the bathroom" to someone on his walkie-talkie while standing on the other side of the door. After I resumed shopping near the front of the store, the female employee who he was presumably talking to awkwardly shuffled herself in front of the entrance, as if to block me and my brother from leaving with the imaginary stolen goods the security guard had informed her of. Didn't appreciate this experience one bit and since then, I avoid this Safeway location as much as I can.

Have most items. Personal are friendly and professional. Pharmacy is very good but does get crowded. The line usually goes fast. Smaller and older than the one on Century drive

Don't know where all this negativity is coming from. I use Safeway exclusively. Staff are always friendly, rarely are they out of anything, place is clean and bright and it's convenient. This is my store.

Worst deli service in Bend. Waited for 20 mins while being skipped in line due to the two women working the deli counter picking and choosing. I brought up that I've been skipped multiple times, and the response I received was "yep", and then was proceeded to be skipped again. This is embarrassing, and a recurring issue at this location. Won't be coming back.
