“We picked up the Spindrift No Pull Harness, made by this store in Bend. They are amazing and well thought out. We’ve had trouble fitting harnesses because of the deep chest on Poodle, but standard martingales would choke my youngest who is still a puller. The design of the spindrift harnesses gives so many points of adjustment they fit both of my poodles who have significantly different builds. And they work fabulously for communicating leash pressure without causing discomfort like others we’ve tried. Very happy with them so far, although the silky material does seem prone to a little snagging. I’ll have to keep an eye out how fast they wear down. Either way, we’ll probably just get another one because I’m they impressed!”

“I just went to Mud Bay for the first time, and Tommy and Angela were so helpful! I vaguely described things my dog loved, and every question was answered so well it felt like they knew my dog. We got a play toy, two different sized yak cheese chew sticks, and some yak cheese puffs that Angela recommended. Dave my dog loves the puffs (see photo). He also peed on their display, which they cleaned up (despite my protests to do it for them) with a glad heart, and even gave me advice for what to expect after he gets snipped. Really well-rounded employees that love their job and our pets! Thanks Tommy and Angela!”

They are just genuinely kind folks and always really pleasant and helpful. Typical kinda people you meet in Bend usually...nice to spend money in a place that has good folks working in it.”

“On trips, I always have to bring something home for the family and that especially includes the pup! A friend of mine met up with me with a bag of goodies from here so he took me back to do the same. Bendy Dog is a nice little pet shop in downtown Bend, on a street with other fun little shops and restaurants. They're mostly open during the day and sell toys, harnesses/leashes, food, and treats. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. If you're looking for a fun pet shop in Bend, this is a great spot.”

“Need to give your dog a wash without destroying your own bathroom...go here. Get your self-wash appt. go in, pay money, get a nice stainless step in tub for your pooch, lather on all kinds of skin friendly, non-harsh soap, rinse, follow with some conditioner, rinse, use the air-dryer to poof him up, and bounce with your clean critter. That's what's up. Cool people too.”
“Took my GS and my husky to get washed. Small area, 2 large tubs and 1 small. Very nice though. Multiple shampoos and conditioners provided. Temp control water, air dryer. Great price! $28/2 dogs! Awesome”

“ASHLEY from the Bend store is amazing. She is a 1 woman show. My dog Buddy loves her and she does a great job. Be patient, she has no help. Also, I went to make an appt. for grooming on the website and it said I had to come back later. Finally got an appt but my number didn't pull up my dogs Vax info. So Ashley had to cancel the web appt and remake it and th Vax info pulled up. That is a web glitch.”

“I just had a great experience at this Mud Bay. I didn't catch their names, but the two ladies working (12pm 6/16) were prime examples of Mud Bay culture.
As someone who knows the Mud Bay culture really well, (former employee) I was impressed that those two Muddies really represented what Mud Bay is supposed to be all about.
I had only been into this store one time before. The experience was absolutely disappointing and I really didn't want to come back in after that. If I wrote a review after that visit, I would have given Mud Bay a one star review.
It has been two or three years since I last visited the store. I took a chance and went in to check out products.
Within less than 30 seconds I was welcomed in by a warm friendly face. I was asked if there was anything I needed help with. I was just looking to browse at that moment, but I noticed the Muddies were still attentive and ready to help at any moment. The check out process was great. A Muddy immediately stepped to the register. She asked the typical questions retail employees ask to make sure the customer had a good visit. But she also was more friendly and personable She went the extra mile.
I wasn't planning on saying anything about my negative experience, but the ladies were so nice that I wanted to share with them how much I appreciated them for providing the excellent Mud Bay experience that should be a dependable thing when shopping at Mud Bay.
Both ladies were sympathetic about my last trip and thanked me for giving Mud Bay another chance. I was even given enough sample treats for my four giant breed dogs. Last time I asked for enough samples for each dog. My question was sort of swept to the side and I received one Biscuit as a sample treat. ??
Anyway, I know this review is getting way too long. I'm just really happy with my experience and had to share. Those two ladies definitely made up for it. I think they deserve a raise. ?”
