John Paul is an incredible craftsman! The time and energy he puts into his work is incomparable. From the minute you walk in the door you can feel that you are going to have a positive experience. The design process was easy and thoughtful. He truly listened to what I wanted and was interested in hearing the history behind the stones I was using. He not only excels at making pieces that are handcrafted and exquisite, but they also tell a story. He took the time to collaborate and made exactly what I wanted with his unique style. I love every John Paul piece I own…I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my jewelry needs. John Paul is incredibly knowledgeable and truly a master at his craft!

We brought our 5ct Fancy intense yellow diamond pear shape as the center piece of an heirloom for JP after being referred to him by our realtor as the custom jewelry guy in the area. I am having diamonds from my grandmother who passed at 96yrs heirloom jewelry put in the setting for the diamond. He told my husband it wasn’t his style and he couldn’t/wouldn’t do a custom setting. Mind you, we showed him a custom setting he had show cased on his website that was EXACTLY what he had already done!!! The way he handled our request was unprofessional, narcissistic and he obviously thinks he’s working in Beverly Hills… too big for his britches and when it comes to actually “doing” the work he can’t hang - per 3 other custom jewelers we have consulted. “He just didn’t want to actually “do” the work” was exactly what they said. Taking the diamonds out of my grandmas rings.., too much work, a real custom build up, but remember he could have already used one of his previous molds, too much work. He is a self designated jewelry “designer” who doesn’t know how OR WANT TO put the work in and was very dismissive. Very disappointing. Our last custom Jeweler learned from his Father, he passed, but you sir are a hyena selling yourself as an actual dog when your just gaslighting and pretending. Good luck!! In my opinion he’s looking for an easy buck. Get your custom Jewelry done elsewhere ladies. I am spreading this like fire in my circle who have custom pieces done a lot. #overrated #johnpauldesignsoverrated

John Paul and his incredible staff are simply A-mazing! His brilliance and incredible artistic eye surpasses anything I’ve found when looking for wedding rings. Mind you, I’m from So. Ca (don’t hold it against me.). From Los Angeles to Laguna Beach I’ve search for the perfect style and design when repurposing some family diamonds. Nothing comes remotely close to John Paul Designs. This is our third trip from Southern California to his store. Just my humble opinion, but this man has a true gift to bring beauty to any stone and create the perfect setting. Best experience EVER with him and the ever so lovely Amy. We can’t wait to return when you finished our travel rings. Can’t wait to see how you show make them sparkle!

There is a reason why John Paul designs is five star. It all begins when you walk into the store, sweetly greeted by the lady, Amy. She gives nice direct eye contact, friendly, beyond a pure joy. "The master" could not have a better representation for him and his almost cult like followers. When you buy John Paul you will always be going back for more. Be it for jewelry. Modifications, and/or of course, the real bonus; the Charmingly stoic, John Paul. When meeting the Desiiiiigner, John Paul, well I am not sure his horn could be tooted any louder. You might not get to meet him personally right off and there is good reason. Being a perfectionist certainly works to our favor, the customer. He takes his work very seriously, very personally. The finished product has always been beyond what I had envisioned. I've said to others "Its almost as if I'm a driving hazard after I pick up my new beauty. I can't stop staring at it. It's something special. Always different. If one can be so lucky he will add a little personal touch. These last two weekends I've gone to parties. I've never ever had so many compliments on a ring. (It's new) Lots of men which generally is not the norm, however, this ring has been a huge conversation piece. One gentleman asking me to take it off. Proclaiming he could care less about jewelry TISK TISK And said how pretty it was while putting it on his pinky. The shop certainly is not centrally located for me. And parking downtown is amazingly fun, however they always make it worth my while one way or another. Some sweet cheap (not really cheap in the long run) entertainment and many laughs. Invigorating. : ) Like I said. When you start business with John Paul one will definitely be going back for more. There are many other nice jewelry shops in Bend, however for this born and raised incorrigible lady there can only be one top jeweler. The Bravo channel should do a reality show. I know they've made my little world a bit better while adding beauty. Touché to the best team downtown and thank you for all the effort and laughs. I would leave a picture of my ring but I'm afraid somebody might cut my finger off. It's that amazing. A word I never use.

I have used John Paul Designs for many projects over the years and he has always been so easy and fun to work with, has great ideas and is able to create amazing pieces that other people have said were impossible.
My latest project with him was to re-make my wedding ring using old family diamonds and gold from my mother-in-law’s wedding ring. He listened so carefully and created something that is out of this world! I love looking at it and believe that we were able to create something that is both contemporary and timeless. A home run!
I never hesitate to see John Paul if I have a project of any type. He has sized rings, created a beautiful ring out of old family earrings and now re-created my wedding ring.
Thank you John Paul (and Amy too) for your amazing creativity and style! Bend is a better place for having you here!
