“Typical Trader Joe’s experience. Staff always helpful and friendly. Usual size and layout. Everything easy to find. Don’t like that the staff is always stocking whenever I go at different times. Every Trader Joe’s like that. Adds to the chaos but is all part of the experience hunny.”

“Newport Market is place I always feel welcome and the employees, who are also owners, make an effort to say hi and remember my name. It’s a shopping experience there, freshest produce, great cheese and meat selection, huge beer and wine selection. Beyond the top notch food, Newport Market is a huge part of the Central Oregon community. I was lucky enough to bump into the founder in the produce aisle and he shared they opened the first store in 1976 in LaPine. True local company that gives back in many ways to the community. A grocery store has the opportunity to be a mainstay to the members of its community, and Newport Market has nailed it. Thank you to the Newport Team!”

“Always has reasonably price items. I like to stop in GO to see what they have. Especially when I am out of town or in new cities. I like to shop local and family owned stores.”

“Natural Grocers is hands down my favorite grocery store! They offer an amazing selection of organic products, making it easy to find high-quality, natural ingredients for my meals. The store is well-organized and a breeze to shop in, which makes the entire experience so much more enjoyable. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I always leave with a smile on my face and a cart full of healthy, fresh items. Highly recommend!”

“I found my favorite Mexican market in Central Oregon. I also found my favorite Mexican candy of all time, the slap. I wasn't able to find it in Coachella, CA. But I found it here in Central Oregon! I'm so happy. I found the chiles I plan to use to make tamales for Christmas. I can't wait to go back to shop.”

“Exceptional grocery market in every way. Clean, comfortable, and contemporary ambiance, outstanding and unusual selection of items. Many options for convenient, eat-now foods. Went today to get just in season fresh, wild caught King salmon. No other market had any yet. Fish department guys were not very friendly, unfortunately, and neither was the checkout clerk. Generally speaking the prices are high, but so is the quality of the product. Super clean store, equally clean parking lot. A shopping event!”

“Love the prices and location of this store.
Most recently in for some random items and found a couple great deals.
What stood out was the cashier, Mike A, who was so friendly, and we had a great little chat. This makes such a difference as you're headed out of any business - the last person you see making a lasting impression. While the employees there have all been helpful and friendly, Mike is extra cool, and I hope he's there next time I go.”

“We shop here almost every week rather than go to just summer farmers' markets. The prices are reasonable for organic items. We usually get several vegetables and fruits, local eggs, and often a Farmhouse pie. Being able to get lettuce and greens is almost like having your own garden. Their selections of cheese are great. You also feel good about supporting local farmers and producers. Staff get to know you and are great.Carolyn & Don”

A large selection of frozen meals fish, chicken, beef, Dairy, cheeses. They also have breads, pastries, vegetables, soups, spices, drinks, chips and dips. What-A-Selection! I don't have to go to other stores unless I need some more personal items. This store has a large variety of products from cooking pans and utensils, for outings to everything you wish your kitchen or restaurant could have need or want. The food is usually very fresh which is very important to me.I love to shop at this store you should try it sometime you won't be disappointed.”

“Love this place! That small-small town atmosphere where the locals give one another a hard time by driving off in one of the other locals truck to park it somewhere else while they’re in the store. ? My kind of people!! ?”

“Has all the essentials and a great collection of curated items! A perfect place to grab wine, lovely cards, and even a last minute “I forgot it at the grocery store” stick of butter!”

“I spent over an hour earlier today trying to get my prescription filled through the East bend Safeway and no one ever answered the phone. Someone did answer the phone in other departments but they would transfer me to the pharmacy and then it would eventually go to a voicemail that was not set up. I eventually gave up on the East bend Safeway and called over to this location. The pharmacy answered the phone on the first ring. The person who filled my order was incredibly helpful. I will not use the East bend Safeway again. I lost over an hour. Just trying to get someone to answer the phone. This Safeway clearly is much better run than the East bend Safeway. Nice work”

“Had a mix-up with a pre-order, with half the order being ready, and other not even prepared. Lorraine handled the issue professionally and apologetically. Though I was bummed not getting a seafood party platter, I'd say I left doin ok without it. Good customer service ?”

“Nice neighborhood market, clean, great selection, and friendly place to shop. Reading the 1 star reviews is sad and have nothing to do with the stores control, I found the responses from the team awesome! This store should have a 5 star rating.”

“I have been shopping here from the day they opened! Like 22 years now I think.
What can I say it's a walmart pretty sure they are all about the same!”

“This would be a good grocery store anywhere, but seeing as it's the only game in town, it's remarkably good. The produce section is small (everything is small) but has high quality and good variety, and every aisle has great options. We were surprised to find baby bok choy (very fresh -- in late Winter!) and bought about half of their supply. They must restock like crazy here, and the staff is quite friendly. Just remember the 7:00 to 7:00 hours and you won't be disappointed.”

“The Bend Fred Meyer did really well during the time I was living in Bend, Oregon during the Pandemic. It's better if you are shopping with an idea of what items you want to buy. I recommend taking a list or a rough sketch of the item(s) on the list. Also, there are plenty of options for shopping at this Bend Fred Meyer. I noticed that during Pandemic most of the employees that were working (that weren't at the end of their shifts) wore a buff or a face mask or were given those disposable masks at the Checkout (the register)... by managers on duty (MODs). There were a few other shoppers who didn't bring their spectacles (prescription glasses) who didn't also bring a magnifying glass (I have a pocket one for my darling Husband when he needs to read the fine print on some of the packages). Those few other shoppers usually went to the reading glasses section and "borrowed" those readers. I could see the tags still on those readers while the senior citizens were reading the bottles and packages. I don't recommend buying readers unless one has gotten a prescription for a pair before. I recommend paying the co-pay for prescription glasses for reading. Also, if one doesn't have insurance there are options. Most of the other shoppers that were my age were looking for deli sandwiches or other picnic type items because on those afternoons I spent in Bend, Oregon there was sunshine on at least four days and evenings. Most of my trips to this Bend Fred Meyer... I stop and look at the Fred Meyer Jewelry counters... to look for charms or other items for my Pandora style bracelet. I've located a few that I liked over the years. Nobody at this Bend Fred Meyer is as friendly as the associates at the local Fred Meyer stores in Portland, Oregon (who worked between 2008 and 2012) though. I've noticed that some of the people who have worked retail are tired of the drama and bullcrap from specific customers. It's the same few customers who are the most vocal. Those customers are sourp*sses, in general.”

“Walmart is the best when it comes to delivery. They always make sure I get what I order. It's a life saver. Since the pandemic Walmart has a monthly and yearly membership that saves a ton of cash M. Meehan”
