My partner took a half day off work (losing $$$ in the process) so he could have a partition installed in his work van. Despite having shown up with his van twice before the scheduled work date, and being assured both times they would be able to complete the install, on the day-of they looked at the van and decided it wasn’t going to work. Instead of an apology or an admission that they didn’t take any time the first two times he was there to confirm they could do the install, they didn’t say anything at all. Very strange behavior but after reading these other reviews, I guess we should have expected silence when they’re the ones making the errors!In addition, they blamed him for showing up at the wrong time even though their scheduler told him when to be there, and he even showed up early when they called and said they had an earlier opening. None of it was his fault, just incompetence on the part of Empire Truck Works. Never again!

Horrible experience here. Went in 6+ weeks ago to get an L bracket fabricated. I was originally told 1-2 weeks and $125-150. Never got a call, stopped in at 2 and 3 weeks nothing done. Week 4 there was a bracket made 2”x2” instead of 2’x2’. I asked for a call when the proper size was complete and 3.5 weeks later I call so I stop in again and it’s ready. The price jumped to $270. No apology or concession. Just a, that’s how it is, response.

Avoid this place like the plague...called with questions and hopefully a quote regarding getting a front hitch receiver put under my aftermarket front bumper.The "gentleman" on the phone asked me if I already had a hitch. I said no I don't . I don't have any knowledge of what I need that's why I called a expert and to please help me.....all I heard was " I see...." and the phone went silent...I asked if they could still help with that. No response..... after a awkward 30 seconds where I could here the guy breathing but not responding to me I hung up. They could have just said that's not in our wheelhouse... heck they could have told me to go pound sand and I would have at least had a response. These guys need to work on their communication skills. All I want is to give some my money.fortunately it won't be to these " gentleman " I'm taken back bye their unprofessionalism and rudeness. I wasn't very pleasant on the phone and didn't deserve to be treated like that. They'll probably write some fluffy response acting like their sorry. Don't believe them and don't do business with people like this!!!!!!!!!

Walked in to see what type of racks they had for my truck. Seemed like they weren't interested in selling, so I left. On way out I noticed they had refrigerated trailers. I went back next week to rent one for 2 weeks. Picked it up, got home noticed the inside was dirty with blood. I noticed one of the tires had 2 flat spots. I put on the spare tire and notice the wheel bearings were loose on that side. Called to inform them, spoke with Dave, he had no response. Just wanted it on the record before it was towed to destination. Shame on me for not inspecting it before I towed it away, guess I trusted that they would rent me a trailer in better condition. Returned it 3 days early-no credit back for returning early. Honestly-didn't expect it anyway, after this experience. Hoping they will maintenance it before the next person rents it.

Called about getting a fifth wheel hitch and was immediately impressed by the helpfulness and customer service of the individuals I spoke with. They were knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. They got the work done in a timely manner and I would happily return for anything else that I need done on my truck.

Would not recommend getting work done here. Poor attention to detail. Car came back with a broken grille light, pieces installed incorrectly, and unsightly scratches on the body. I was ultimately refunded and told to take my business somewhere else. If you want the job done correctly, this is not the place in my opinion.

i am an older woman who could no longer lift my heavy e-bike onto my car bike rack. i went to empire truck works for a solution. jon and ransom designed and built a lift assist device that lowers the bike rack down to the ground, allowing me to roll my bike on, and then i can crank the rack back up into travel position. brilliant, cost effective and timely. these guys are THE BEST.

Empire Truck Works has the best offering of refrigerated rental vans in Central Oregon! I rented both the larger 14X7 and the smaller 5X10 and was very satisfied with both. They are clean, have two access points (rear and side), two options to run the cooling unit (110 plug to wall or 110 plug to generator mounted on tongue) and tow well. If you're looking for a one day, one weekend, week or month rental, Empire has an option for you that will foot the bill!

Jon and David were great to work with, and Jacob did an amazing job with all the welding, fabrication, and installation. Great professionalism, teamwork and quality work with attention to detail. They managed to get A LOT of work done in an amazingly short period of time, even though a steel supplier was late with a delivery of materials they needed. Empire Truck Works outfitted my 1972 F-250 4X4 with an aluminum flatbed, and installed a dump ram kit, a class III receiver hitch and two under-mounted tool boxes, involving a quite a bit of customizing. Jacob had to weld a bunch of steel during this project; brackets/supports for the tool boxes, a lot of rectangle steel tube for framing, and brackets for the dump bed, and it's done right, so there is no stress on the aluminum during the dump operation. I've seen some damage done to aluminum dump beds due to stress from a poor install. Empire Trucks Works is the place to go to get your vehicle outfitted.
