I love having a neighborhood market, although I loathe paying over-inflated costs for expired foods and bug infested produce.Within the past 12 months I have notified management of CE on four separate occasions that food on their shelves was expired, or severely bug infested. I try to keep returning to CE's because it's less than half a mile from my home.My purchase of infested kale was the last straw. I went back a week later, and the kale was still infested with hundreds of aphids.. this means multiple checks have been faulty.Management at CES has a lot to sort out.

Love this store. Great selection of wines, craft beer and cheeses. Friendly cashiers.

Local store with super friendly employees, no lines ever, and a great selection given the size of the store. What's not to like?

I live close by, so I really wanted to like this store, but I’ve never found a good deal here. Think gas station level selection and prices higher than MOC.Oh, and when an item is “on sale”, check the fine print because it turns out the “sale” price is the regular price. Who does that?

Nice neighborhood market, clean, great selection, and friendly place to shop. Reading the 1 star reviews is sad and have nothing to do with the stores control, I found the responses from the team awesome! This store should have a 5 star rating.

Clean, comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. I have never had trouble finding items I am looking for and have even found items I have not been able to find anywhere else. It's disturbing to see another poster wishing for a small neighborhood business to close because of their claimed inability to find coffee or milk. Small businesses have already endured enough attacks from multiple fronts.

Newport Market for the southside, except maybe with a more 'country store' vibe. Good selection of a whole lot of grocery items, including produce.

Friendly staff that knows my family by name. They don't stock everything, but we can always find something tasty to cook there. The seafood, produce, and wine selection are always great!

Great little market on this side of town. We needed a few things and they had it all within a few minutes of our rental house.

Great market in my neighborhood, but here's my beef they need to be open past 7 o'clock, do they have homework, or need to be to school early in the morning?

My wife and I have been visiting Bend for the last 2 weeks and had the misfortune of trying to get our "need to pick-up" items from this store on several occasions. Kept trying to shop there but left every time disappointed or empty handed. Their prices are higher than most, selection limited and don't back their products, even if they grew mold 2 weeks before their sell by date. Purchased a container of fresh salsa, (O-Hana brand) refrigerated it as soon as I got home, less than 10 minutes after purchase, opened it for less than 15 minutes at a meal the next day, and today, 5 days later found it covered with mold. Took it back to the store and told the manager. She was not willing to stand by her product. After I objected, she offered a refund, but too late. Won't go back again. I'll be sure to tell our bnb hosts to stop recommending this store. They are bad news.

It’s just a grocery store, that’s slightly more expensive than average. For the look and location, I was expecting a lot more local items, niche items or brands maybe even a large selection of premade-bring-to-the-party healthy items but it was just *shrug*.I didn’t check out the alcohol section but it was like a third of the store so I kept the stars high because nested in a neighborhood rating it as a grocery store wouldn’t be right but, basically, it’s just a larger corner store and as a corner store it gets 4 stars

There was no one in the store and the CDC guidelines changed. No sign was posted on the door. I went to check out and was verbally harassed and offered a mask to check out behind a plexiglass screen. I took a mask and put it on. When I pulled it down, I was told I could not check out without a mask. Again, no one in the store, no one near me! Where is the common sense? I was unable to check out because I was not wearing a mask so I left my groceries, I will not return and I hope you shut your doors for good.
