Extremely friendly staff when I came in with my daughter. They helped us understand some of the new stuff, sell our old stuff and were extremely helpful. What a fun experience and we'll be back!
(Update) Their prices are creeping up! I recently went in wanting a couple old classic games. Was surprised to see 20-100% higher than places online. Bummer I had to walk out empty handed. But let it be known... A local shop has a smaller audience and small town vibe. Make it feel affordable!

Great store, great staff, prices are high but they have a well stocked clearance shelf and everything is clean and plays great, I love coming to the store and I plan on coming back again soon!

The store itself is not bad, the person always working the front has such a bad attitude though, I just came in to buy a wii and a few games and accessories, (and dropped over 100 bucks in the store btw), but felt like I needed to apologize everytime I asked them a question. Why do I need to feel bad just to get them to get out of their seat and do their job? I don't know if I can deal with that, there are other shops in town with less drama. Everytime I come in they are complaining loudly about something

I love this store they are always helpful and I really appreciate there points/loyalty system, gives me incentive to keep coming back. Prices are not great but not horrible either lol. If you have a specific game for a console they most likely will have it. Been coming to retro 4 years now, highly recommend!!

Had a great experience here today. Recently had a grandparent pass away a couple months ago. We’ve been going through the storage and found a tote with all the empty boxes of all the GameBoy advance games from when me and my brother were kids. Originally brought them in cause I have no use for them. Figured you guys will have a better use for them. Wasn’t really expecting on making any money at all. I was actually very surprised on the outcome, my wife joked it was my grandmothers way of leaving us an “inheritance.”
From now on I will only come here for all my video game needs. They have the biggest selection for retro games and even have new releases. Got my kids some plushies here too. Can’t express how much more I can promote these guys more. Anyways thank you so much for doing business with you guys. ?

my car broke down in Portland recently. Many people drove past me but one man with kind eyes stopped for me. He popped my hood and fixed my car problems and helped me carry all my belongings back to my car. He gave me 20 for gas and gave me some life advice I'll never forget. I won't share that here but Taylor told me he works at retro game trader. I drove my car to visit Taylor and I was surprised to see such high prices on all the videogames. 16$ for surfs up on the GameCube? regardless Taylor changed my life that day and I now have faith in people

Good prices and selection on all games. The workers are helpful and with great knowledge of games you are looking for. If you're looking to get into retro gaming this the place.

This is a fun store to go into just to walk around and see cool things. Prices are ok on some things and may not be worth it on others. Most of the employees are nice. However when I brought in a stack of games a while back there were two employees that, while they were checking prices on them in the back area, were making fun of my gaming choices. It definitely made me feel bad and while I completed the exchange I haven’t really been back to the store much.

Very friendly staff, two of them took a lot of time to help me buy a Wii for my partner and I. I walked away with 5 games, two controllers, a microphone, HDMI adapter and the Wii console for only $214. This is a Dangerous place to be if you have money to spend lol. Very grateful for their help and knowledge. Places like this are treasures. Will be back to buy so much more fun stuff!!! Nostalgia heaven!!! ♥️

Great selection but things need to be identified better. Was in Oregon on vacation and decided to stop here. After looking at a few games and comparing prices online everything was 10 to 20 over the average sold listings. Did find one game which was within sold listing prices. I purchased it and as I got back to my Air BNB I notice the case was not original and the cover was just printed on standard printer paper. Did notice 2 red dots which I’m assuming identified that it’s not an original case and missing manual. Which given this was my first time at the store it would have been nice if someone pointed out that the case is not original. Once I got home from vacation I found and purchased the original case. Did spend more then the game is worth but I would like to have the original case for a game I enjoyed playing years back.
Edit to owner response: Maybe have your employees ask the person buying the game if they understand what the dots indicate. That would take your employee a few seconds to mention. Any other retro store I’ve been in would have asked me if I understood what something indicated.
