Ever since I discovered relax the back three months ago, I have been their loyal customer by purchasing a product from them once every few weeks, for a total of four products. Evidence is attached if you don't believe me. I went in there on Sunday to try out a potential purchase of a fifth product called the inversion table for 20 minutes based on my recent search results through Artificial Intelligence in order to make a wise purchasing decision; however, the sales rep, Alonzo, refused to let me try it out. In the past, they would allow me to use it for 3 to 4 minutes each time; however, that time was not enough for me to make my final purchasing decision. In the past, the representative, Mark, told me a few times that I have a torn ligament or tendon, as if I do not know how the body functions. I repeatedly told him that I have a Bachelors degree in Health Science, and I am a State Qualified Health Care Interpreter. In addition, I told him several times that I do not nor have never done heavy work, such as construction for my occupation, and I am not involved nor have I ever done any type of strenuous activity such as high impact sports. Ask yourself this question. Has anyone of you ever walked into a car dealership to be confronted with a Sales Representative that used pressure sales tactics by saying: "You only have three to four minutes to test drive a car! Otherwise, if you want more time, you must buy it!" From my experience working in retail, they always emphasized the important concept of: "Customer comes first." As a customer, I was highly unsatisfied with my experience with them. This incident and situation reminded me of the famous saying: "The last straw that broke the camels back." They say we are not a rehabilitation location; however, when you go on their website, there is a youtube video, and you will see a lay, Brandi Healy, who is a Retail Special Projects Representative at Relax the Back who states: "A lot of people think of Relax the Back as just a place for pain relief, but really we have been doing recovery for 35 years, and just calling it something different. So we have that expertise, that experience, that authority." Here is another statement by Ernest Benion Jr, Director of retail Sales and Training: "There is nothing really more powerful than seeing somebody walk in your store with pain, and after your time with them for 20 minutes, they walk out without pain." I believe that the human body was designed to be able to be healed of just about anything if treated properly both mentally and physically. I have had neck and back pain for many years. As a result, I have zero tolerance for these types of unethical business practices, ESPECIALLY, in today's high inflation economic environment!

A Most Wonderful experience, as Always there for years now ..
They Always have just what I need for my Healing.. They let me try a few different items, to choose the Best for my needs .
They went the extra mile this time, and sat me in a Most Wonderful chair, that lays back and is heated, it was Fantastic for what I was dealing with ?????

The in-store service and advise was excellent. The product I purchased, not so much. The lumbar chair pillows were expensive and have been a disappointment.

I found the perfect seat cushion with the help of a top notch sales person! It had a removable tailbone insert, along with being contoured and higher towards the back (graded wedge), which was just what I needed. I hadn't been to that store in years, since I moved out of state, but I am so glad I popped in there. They had exactly what I needed to give me relief! They have a great selection of products to truly help "relax the back".

Jorge did a great job explaining the options and differences between the beds and pro/cons of each. He definitely knows a lot about the items he is selling and was very patient in answering questions.

A great place to go if you have back problems and need help. Good selection, very knowledgeable helpful employees. You get all the time and help that you need, fast delivery of the large products. I am glad that I found this shop.

At first we thought this lift chair we bought for our Dad was crazy expensive, but now we completely see the value for what we paid and are grateful for the purchase. Dad has used this chair to sleep upright for his long recovery period as directed and the chair has made a world of difference keeping him comfortable. The service from Relax the Back has also been amazing - THANK YOU to Mark and Jorge - delivery and setup in some of the worst icy weather one can imagine. We are happy customers!

My girlfriend was in real pain after cuddling the cat too hard l (No I am not kidding) and had been struggling with back pain for a week.We went in for an inversion table but were showed what we actually needed and walked (and the gf hobbled) away happy.Not 6 hours later my girlfriend is walking around and feels SO much better. I was empowered with back rub aids so my backrubs could actually penetrate and do some good, and she had some blue curl thingy that aligned her spine.She then laid down and slept for 14 hours as she had been in too much pain to do otherwise beforehand.If you have read this far you have wasted valuable time you should have spent driving to this business and buying what you need to return to "functional adult" .PS I did the math and compared to the time off she would have needed to take, we walked out with a bargain. Missed work is SUPER expensive.

Relax the Back in Beaverton the best! Mark and Jorge were friendly and patient, and so helpful. They encouraged us to take our time, and even played with our puppy so we could try out all the chairs! They were informative AND honest about the pros and cons of each type of chair, which really helped us make the best decision about our purchase. They even brought a toy for the puppy when they delivered the chair! Best customer service ever. I absolutely love my chair - should have bought one years ago. Thank you, Mark and Jorge!

We worked with Mark at the Beaverton store. I stopped by accident and bought a seat cushion for my office chair that helped my hips for sure. Went back and looked at beds and he answered every question we had, and the bed was delivered yesterday. His follow up with us has been excellent. Thank you Mark for being so helpful.

This is the Go To place for chairs for back and neck pain, because of the knowledgeable staff. My fist visit here, Mark helped me. I came in for a kneeling chair, and told him about my car accident back and neck pains. The kneeling chair is the most affordable. Mark showed me a $4000 chair, which was comfortable, but not for my wallet. I bought the kneeling chair and brought it home. Maybe I was having too much fun rocking on it, and it triggered my whiplash. I had to see my doctor, and returned the chair within 2 days. No problem with returns! This time Stacy was there. I went over my whole car accident back and neck pain, and now whiplash. Stacy said she wouldn't have sold me the rocking kneeling chair. So I said, okay, I'm in so much pain, can you help me get this right? She showed me the $4000 chair. Sorry, it's too expensive. I felt like Goldilocks, trying out all the different chairs until we found one that was "Just right". I love this store, because it's like a shoe store, where the expert fits me to the chair, and adjusts it to fit me. I was so relieved. Staci fitted me to the Navy blue X-Chair and put it in my car for me. Now I'm out of excruciating pain, and am totally humbled by this experience. When you have a special needs back, and a $200 Costco chair puts you in so much pain, be prepared for paying more for a back and neck chair that works.
