My favorite way to spend a Sunday is to bring back books I bought at Jan’s, and then bring home some more. Thanks for this wonderful local store.

Had a tarot card reading at Jan's and it was positive. I felt like it was what I needed to hear. Reader is there from 11 to 1 pm on Saturdays. Jan's also supports the community by showing other places of interest. Not an ordinary bookstore, great place to get books.
Jan’s is an independently owned bookstore specializing in selling and trading paperback books. Jan's opened in 1981 in Aloha, Oregon, a suburb on the west side of Portland. In 2018, Jan's moved to Downtown Beaverton.
We don't buy books, but we will trade for store credit. We do this any day we're open. Store credit can be applied to up to half your purchase price of used books.
