Never "need" to go, but is a successful trip. Is less expensive for similar items compared to other stores.

We love this chain of home stores. Lots of different items are organized by themes and colors where appropriate. Lots of Christian themed decorations, which honestly are hard to find nowadays. There is even a large craft section as well.

We hardly ever go to hobby lobby, but I found a plastic rain guard for our bird feeder and living in the Pacific Northwest this time of year it's hard to maintain a bird feeder without it constantly getting wet. Once we arrived we found we were surrounded by stuff we don't need. A lot of decorative items that appear to me only to satisfy the need to spend money (obviously I'm in the minority here). Glitter everywhere, including the floor.... The EPA should fine them for micro plastic pollution.
We found what we needed and took a walk through the store to see the enormous display of stuff. A majority looked like house branded Chinese items.... Which made me wonder what's going to happen to stores like this (Michaels you too) if trade embargos go into place.... Can a majority of customers afford $49.99 baby Jesus statues covered in sacred glitter? Anyway, we had enough and wandered to the one open cash register that had someone returning $48.00 worth of glitter covered trinkets. Finally after 10 minutes of me staring at a display of Reese's peanut butter cups I didn't need. A second register was opened and we checked out. We walked out pushing our cart to the car and then I realized why there were so many shopping carts left scatter thru the parking lot. No place to return them to, other than back to the store. Maybe there was but the parking lot was not well lit so I put ours back, shared our package of peanut butter cups and drove home. Honestly not my kind of store

12/10/2024 Rude manager assaulted/harassed me. I am trying to find the right avenue for my complaint. We are just now leaving the Hobby Lobby in Tigard/Beaverton. We had a question about some deceptive pricing. The store manager, grabbed my arm and pushed me. In Oregon that is an assault/harassment misdemeanor. We did call the police and of course the manager lied and said no physical contact happened. I have no reason to lie and this manager had every reason. I am withholding the managers name for now but I am pursuing this.

Love the store, so many craft items as well as decor. Great prices. My cashier was on the rude side, but maybe she was a bit overwhelmed as the store was so busy

I can’t stand Hobby lobby because of it’s politics and it’s religious affiliations that they push on their workers flat out that is wrong and I completely disapprove.
I had to stop here the other day to get some tulle. My cutting counter experience was awful. I had one thing of fabric, which was the tulle. I only needed 2 yards and there was a woman in front of me and she had 8 bolts of fabric and wanted a quarter yard of each and she was going to come back after she finished her shopping to get them because it was obviously going to take a while. I told the guy I’m only getting 2 yards and he said I’ll get you next and I stood there for like 15 minutes while he cut the 8 - 1/4 yards of fabric….. some insight on customer service if that customer is coming back in like 15-20 minutes and I’m the only other person waiting you should probably get the person that’s got the really easy order so they don’t have to stand there for a while and then you can snap them right back into your 8 yards. It’s called multitasking.
