DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!! They gave me the electric only vehicle with half charge. I had the vehicle a total of 4 hours (one of which I was charging the car) and it broke down in the middle of the freeway. Because of the danger, the police towed the vehicle. Hertz not only did NOT replace the vehicle but they are still charging me for the vehicle 5 days later, since they have not retrieved their car from the tow lot. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They won't return my calls as promised and the manager is very unwilling to help. Save yourself the time and stress. DONT RENT FROM HERTZ

I prepaid for a truck but they called me 30 minutes before and said there's no truck. If you cancel a prepaid the fee is almost as much as the rental cost. There is no clear procedure on what happens a prepaid vehicle isn't available. Also other people that reserved a small car were forced to pay a $10/day upgrade fee since they didn't have the small cars. Standard practice at other places is to put them in the next available class without changing extra.I ended up getting a different vehicle so I wouldn't lose all my money. It took 55 minutes to get through the line. The agent was friendly.

Wouldnt let my son use the restroom. He wet himself right after we left. Staff also was not friendly prior, but gave minimum information so i gave 2 stars instead of 1.

On Monday, February 12, 2024, I had the opportunity to rent a vehicle from Hertz at their Southwest Farmington location in Beaverton. Prior to my visit, I had made a reservation through Hotwire, which indicated a daily rate of $27.60. However, upon arrival, I was quite surprised to learn that the actual rate quoted to me was $37.60. This discrepancy in pricing was indeed disheartening and overshadowed my overall rental experience.Furthermore, I must express my utmost dissatisfaction with the condition of the vehicle that was provided to me. It was evident that the car had not been properly cleaned, as there were noticeable stains on the seat. This lack of cleanliness was quite disappointing and did not meet the standards one would expect from a reputable rental company like Hertz. In addition to the issues with pricing and cleanliness, I encountered significant delays and inconvenience at the rental location. Regrettably, I had to wait for an extended period of almost an hour before I could speak to a representative. This excessive waiting time was exacerbated by the fact that the rental facility did not have restroom facilities available for customers. Such a lack of basic amenities further added to the overall dissatisfaction of my rental experience. As a first-time customer at this particular Hertz location, I must admit that my experience fell far below my expectations. Given the issues encountered, it is highly unlikely that I will consider renting from this location again in the future. The combination of the pricing discrepancy, unclean vehicle, prolonged waiting time, and lack of customer facilities has left a lasting negative impression.

This place has issues every time I’ve tried renting a car. Said it needs to be 24 hours you have to reserve using a debit card. When I purchased bumper to bumper insurance. Idiot place no other rentalCar place is like this hole in the wall. Pretty sure the employees hate there life’s and hate there jobs to be so rude. The customer service lady could barely speak English. Beware and rent with enterprise or thrifty or dollar.

Worst rental experience of my life as a career driver. Company double applied the charging bill for the Tesla I rented from them, has refused to remove the double charge, and continues to harass me for money that is not due to them. If you want to rent a car for Uber / Lyft, avoid Hertz at all costs. All attempts to resolve this issue peacefully have been a waste of time, as every time I've requested a supervisor, I've never received a call back. My next step is to call a lawyer as the company refuses to resolve the issue.Additional Information: I used the link offered by the respondent to my review. It's a link to Facebook Messenger customer support. After being passed around between agents and told that the issue was escalated, no one has reached out to me to resolve the issue. After my last attempt to resolve this issue, I have been informed that this bill has been sent to collections, even though my last notice from them told me I would have 10 days to respond (It's only been 3 since receiving notice). Do not rent from Hertz. They are now attempting to wrongfully destroy my credit.

Don’t Rent Here!In May, our rental car was broken into in San Francisco. When we went to a Hertz in San Francisco, they were able to help us out and get us a new car. They said our belongings had insurance, and the vehicle also had insurance (the car didn’t, but our belongings did!) When we came back to Beaverton, they said we would get a call about how we were going to get paid for the stuff stolen (over 1,000$ since we were on vacation and had just left the hotel) 2 months passed, and we kept calling, but they said they didn’t know. Finally, after waiting, we talked to someone, and they said we owed 800$ for the broken window. It was the window behind the driver's seat, which we were told is only 200-400$!!! They said we could pay through our insurance, so we did and gave them our information, but when we asked when we would get our money, they hung up on us. It’s been 7 months, and we still haven’t gotten anything. We were already charged for the window but never received anything. We made a police report, filed a claim, and did everything we were told to do. This week, when we tried to rent from them again, we were told we were banned and couldn’t rent from Hertz, which is embarrassing for them because they owe us money. Don't come here

We needed a 7 seat minivan for some company coming to town. We reserved the vehicle the week before, which was effortless. I think it was Gary that helped us in selecting the minivan. When picking up, Lea helped us with the final paperwork and instruction. She was very helpful and absolutely delightful to talk to.Upon returning minivan, she took the key fob, and I was in and out in 30 seconds. The minivan itself was clean, new with all of the bells and whistles. Just what we needed. The location in Beaverton was convenient and easy to access.I would recommend using the Beaverton Hertz location for any car rental needs.

Website makes zero mention of requiring a CREDIT card to rent. You can pay with a debit card, you can reserve using a debit card. But, despite having my card number, address, drivers license and phone number, that’s not enough. They need a credit card to not charge while I drive the car, then I can pay using my debit card. Why this isn’t on the reservation screens online, or why they waited until I was physically at the rental shop to tell me this? The world may never know. What I do know is I will never use Hertz again and will let everyone I know that Hertz has no respect for their customers time and doesn’t want their money. They clearly didn’t want mine.

Do not rent here!! Don’t trust the employees. Especially Laila. She added an additional insurance coverage that she did not disclose or have me agree to it. I signed the agreement with what she only disclose I didn’t see the new charge until after I returned home from picking the vehicle up.I called immediately, Laila admitted to not disclosing the charge because she thought it was from Expedia. She was aware I had purchased other coverage through Expedia. She told me to call Expedia to have them remove the charge.I called Expedia and they said to call Hertz because they do not have the ability to add “additional” coverage to our contract directly.I have called Hertz a few times and they refuse to remove the charge because I signed what Laila disclosed. This is an additional 131.46!!!Hertz is a rip off.I have been using Hertz for many, many years and this will be the last time. Very dishonest employees and dishonest location.Pay the extra money and use any other rental company.

Very frustrating experience. After Hertz failed to pick me up at my scheduled time/location. I called and was told no one could pick me up and to find my own way. I paid for a lyft to their store I saw other customers arriving that had been picked up. I was told there is no discount or reimbursement for my trouble, but I could leave the rental at the autoshop when my reservation is over and they will pick up. I called to see if they can pick up the car from my home since my car is still in the shop and therefore unable to have transportation. I was put on hold, then I could hear a woman in the background rudely instructing the man on the phone that if I wanted it picked up I need to be home all day and that might extend the rental reservation and that if I don't want that to happen I need to bring it in. So l'll need to pay for another lyft to drop off this vehicle since they dropped the ball twice. Not to mention that the car still had coffee and other food stains in it when initially picked it up. From now on I'll be renting from Enterprise, because they'll actually pick me up.

Superb service! When their other drivers were busy, Glenn went out of his way to make sure I could get a rental car early. Getting my rental was easy, and the above and beyond service of Glenn made my day!
