No internet service keeps me from shopping this goodwill. Don't understand why they block the internet for their custimers..

Goodwill has gotten ridiculously overpriced lately. There should not be a single book in there sold for $8, meanwhile half of the books in total are $4 or more. I get most of my books at thrift stores. This would not have been a thing 2-3 years ago.

I got this locations number from a resource center and I called to ask a simple question. I spoke to someone named “Robin” and when she answered the phone she immediately stated they cannot help me in a very rude and disrespectful tone and then hung up on me. I don’t ever write negative reviews but for this situation I felt like I had to because in a moment of asking for information I was shouted at and hung up on. Such bad customer service!!!

Today I had the most disgusting experience at this goodwill.
My girlfriend and I came to get some clothes for our vacation next week and she wanted to try hers on. She was let in by an employee, with her 2 items to try on and a #2 tag was placed on the door by the employee. Keep in mind the doors must be unlocked by an employee with keys for anybody to access the fitting room.
A couple minutes goes by and as she is in the fitting room a different employee had come over to let somebody else into the fitting rooms since the other employee had by this time walked away. This employee walked right up to the locked door with the tag on the handle that my girlfriend was in and unlocked it and tried to force the door open. Upon realizing my girlfriend slammed the door and shouted that she was in there. This is where the most disgusting behavior I’ve seen from an employee came in… instead of quickly pulling the door shut and apologizing for not knocking, the employee continued to try and force his way into the fitting room and then proceeded to give my girlfriend an attitude and implied she had let herself in along with several irrelevant questions to the matter. He cared more about the amount of items she was trying on and not at all about the fact that he just tried to force his way into a dressing room with a women changing in it and then argued. I had also began telling the clueless employee she was let in with 2 items and to get away from the door.
As we were leaving we spoke with the supervisor and manager and made a complaint about the employee. Instead of immediately taking action we were told “it will be taken care of and we’ll talk to him”. Unacceptable. The employee needs to be fired immediately for trying to force his way into a fitting room with a woman changing in it. I should have taken a photo of the employee so everyone can recognize him. My girlfriend and I will never come back to this goodwill and I will be calling to request the employee be immediately terminated. If the manager really wants to take care of it and avoid it escalating to higher individuals she’ll surely take action.

I like this goodwill. It does a good job of getting new merch out and keeping the store clean. I don’t love the pricing sometimes, but I can always find something I need after a couple of visits.
Also just fun to window shop.

It's called 'goodwill'. They get things given to them for free and then mark up the price. It is absolutely sad to see how expensive used things are getting. Things that I used to see at goodwill for $1 are now $6.
Update. I'm back to show the issues with my picture. This is pretty regular that things are overpriced. In this situation the same exact glass mug was priced differently. The staff was unwilling to lower the price to the more fair price of $1.99. I was unwilling to buy them. I left the store with nothing. Such a shame.

Prices of t shirt and jackets & shoes are way too high.. They mirror retail prices of brand new items. & The quality is often deceiving... I kept taking items home new with tags and washing them to realize there was damage that couldn't be fixed. They put the prices tags on the pants in an area that makes it easy for the tags to slide off when removing them. i felt publicly embarrassed and felt she automatically assumed there's not way it could be a mistake... She thought it said pants but they were pajamas bottoms and she was like "I looked in there before & there wasn't a tag in there". I said they likely this came off the pain of pants she hung up for me. You could tell from her lack of eye contact she didn't believe me and then after I tell her "well if you want feel free to search my bag" she realized she had read the tag incorrectly. So it was indeed for the pajamas bottoms & she made me look very dramatically like a theif. Mind you I'd been coming days/ weeks in a row spending hours and hours there because I've been depressed and it makes me happy to shop there. & I'm tored of the the looks they give me when they make a mistake . Like when they rang me up for a regular price on a pair of shoes. .. I went home and the 50% off sticker was inside the shoe at the bottom. And she said I could come back. Then when I got there it was a big scene multiple employees talking back and fourth across aisles from each other lots of side eyes and looks of disbelief of a stupid pair a shoes . The sticker was half off for blue and she rang me up as green and I reluctantly went all the way back there... They are just super paranoid that's the only way I can describe it. Not to mention the hat selection same hats day in an out dont even sell should be donated to the bins with stains holes tears or repeats/shorts nobody wants. Whoever is picking the merchandise that goes into the door vs the bins needs to be re trained or they need help. I think they are talking out a lot of good stuff to auction and just keep the over priced junk there to rot for a week at a time...Because I'm tired of going home thinking I got a good deal and after I wash it realizing I just like 10$ each time I go atleast. I used to get excited about finding items with new tags on them and yes of course there are hidden gems . But there are changes that need to be improved. Employees gossip a lot openly in front of guests. Feels very small town vibes when you go in there. People you can tell Been working there a long time and they are not happy it seems. Maybe you can give them a raise the ones who deserve it and then also see what you can do to help them improve. The hats selection is so tiny there's no reason it shouldn't be sold out every few days. It would sell out every day of you lowered the prices and raised your standards. Someone is putting a lot of junk on those shelf's/racks. And the. You look closely and you realize nope .

Multiple times I go in and when checking out I'm told they marked the item wrong. Then it's like 4x the price when they remark it. I understand people try and swap tags, but when it's an employee error that happens that much they need to figure something out. Crazy how they want to charge so much for things you can get on Facebook market place and Craigslist for a quarter of the cost. I'd much rather support and donate to our local thift shops that the libraries have.

Tried to purchase a pair of shoes stickered at $6.99. Employee looks confused when they rang up at $6.99, starts picking at the sticker which doesn't come off (so it's pretty clear I didn't swap tags) and asks another employee about the price. Then gets a price check and is told they should be $12.99 and tells me they're actually $12.99?!? Even though THEY had them stickered at $6.99, I'm supposed to pay almost double the price because the location they were originally at had priced them differently? Insulting and outrageous behavior from a company that gets it's merchandise *donated* by the public.

I like goodwill but the comment from Alice regarding the rude employee to her disabled friend should be a lawsuit!!! I'm disabled too and I deserve to be respected by goodwill employees after all the disabled gave that women's customer service job to her!! There should be severe discipline for customer service like saying and don't ask me again and she could have offered to bring in the extra clothing when asked!!! What happened to respect your elders and going the extra mile in service. Good thing this girl doesn't drive city bus as I retired from. That kind of attitude could get you hurt badly,!!! Diane

Prices are insane it's a joke. Inflation is not an excuse because they get their products donated.
