Really enjoy buying on Discogs.

Discogs does not offer any protection to customers who were victims of their Sellers' scams. I have had a dispute open for a record since November 2022. Discogs refuses to help. I lost a lot of money.Stay away from Discogs.

The new shipping policies don't make any sense and are ridiculously complicated. I'll be using ebay from now on to sell.. Good job "fixing" what wasn't broken.

I don't understand why all this negativity. It looks like the other people leaving reviews are upset because they don't know how to do anything. I barely have a high school education and I could figure out how to message a seller, and of course, there's plenty of sellers on here that are jerks, but most of them, if you don't expect too much, are pleasant enough to deal with. You find a CD, you check the sellers' feedback, examine it, and then buy from them and you probably will receive what you ordered. If not, you can try to negotiate with the seller and if they don't want to bother, you can always open a PayPal dispute, although that usually results in the seller leaving you negative feedback, based on my observations, but my buyer feedback is 98.7%, partly my own fault, because I set my expectations of myself and others way too high, and don't always do the best job at communicating. It should be noted that Discogs support is minimal and they don't get involved in disputes between buyer-seller/seller-buyer, which I appreciate, because we, as people, should be able to interact with some degree of civility and goodness and if both the buyer and seller do so, generally, the seller and buyer will both benefit. Not always, of course...if you order from a seller overseas, depending on the seller and what you ordered from them, they may expect you to return the item and not be willing to reimburse you for postage, regardless of the reason you returend the item (which makes sense in cases of buyer remorse but when you're promised a NM/NM vinyl or CD, sometimes it's treated as if it's buyers remorse unless the vinyl or CD is virtually unplayable). Anyway, you just gotta know how to read and follow instructions. Add to cart, checkout/pay, and wait for your item to arrive. Hopefully that'll be the end of it. If not, you may lose out, but, conversely, from the selling end, their fees are the lowest of any selling platform which means I can sell stuff for a reasonable sum of money (like $2 or $3 + $5 for shipping etc.) and not be left with only two or three dimes to show for it (Amazon, cough cough).

Great way to squander your time once you've accomplished everything meaningful in your life. In other words, once you've clipped your toenails, checked your naval for lint, and don't have anything thing else to do, consider using Discogs.Personally, I've had difficulty buying and selling on Discogs. There are just too many other options available--options that work with ease.

If you don't have any place to throw your money away, this place will suffice. You just simply order CD's in the amount of your hard-earned money that you wish to dispose, and wait to receive nothing in return.Don't worry about the desperate child at St. Jude or Shriner's Hospital, when Discogs will take it to promote corporate greed.

Might be somewhat of a welcomed challenge to anyone with a PhD or two Master's degrees. But, just too convoluted for uz normal folks.Makes me wonder if they intend to stay in business

By the time you set up your account and catalog your CD collection, there will likely be a new form of digital media to replace them.

Their shipping policy is so asinine that I have decided not to bother to even sell there. You need a degree in astrophysics just to figure out how to use their shipping policies function and even if you do you may still end up massively undercharging for shipping to the point that it would be complete loss to sell your items.

Trying to sell a record on discogs. It was simple...till I got to the shipping policy. It is obvious to me that the people who designed this policy have never tried to use it. Anyone who understands this, please post a tutorial to teah the 95% of the rest of us who don't.

Hilarious company. Totally primitive system. The work got done my none payed moderators which are literally mentally fragile disabled sociopath persons and the company just cashing money without any customer or seller service. Worthless waste of time trash place for loosers

Discogs looked like a great alternative to buying music from Amazon, so I thought I would try it. There is lots of good music and there are a lot of great sellers. I fell into a trap though, and I am sharing it here. My autofill put in an old shipping address and discogs does not allow any corrections after you select your purchase. No way to cancel the order either. And as a newbie buyer I also could not see a way to communicate with the Seller. After I got threatening (!) e-mails from Discogs I finally figured out how to send a message to the Seller so hopefully I can get the order cancelled (I bought from a different Seller because I could not revise the first order). My assessment: Nice sellers, great sellection, crappy user interface.

Went to order two vinyl records and there was two shipping quotes. One for $0.00 and another around $5.00. I want to be fair with the seller and myself, so don’t want to take zero dollars and I have to pay later or it comes without media packing. Waiting for the seller to reply to make sense of all this. Of course, I searched Discogs for about an hour and there was no mention of how the shipping works. Pathetic is all I have to say.

The future of collecting music! Discogs is built by contributor submissions. I left eBay for Discogs in 2012 and it was the best decision I could have ever made for my business. The site continues to grow and improve over time.
