I told them exactly what I needed, the employee sold me the wrong item. I then returned it 20 minutes later, and was told the item I actually needed would be discounted for my trouble. which would be lovely and resolved, if I hadn't realized they then charged that discounted price twice on my card.

The only people that were helpful was the customer service rep at the front and the security guard. I saw one employee skip washing their hands when I had to take a potty break while shopping gross! Three stars only for the front door associates.

Bought ear buds from the store, it was spider wrapped and new they said. Once we got into the car and opened it, it was empty… we returned back into the store within a few minutes but they refused to give a refund. The fact that it was stolen within the store and not our fault, we lost $100 instantly for a reason not our fault… Never shopping at Best Buy again. We trust Best Buy but if their security system isn’t good, we get the blame for it.

I bought an ergonomic mouse in April of this year. I didn't know if it would work. I have hand arthritis, and I told the clerk who sold it to me, I might need to go a step further and buy a vertical mouse.
He said, "Oh, don't worry, if it doesn't work, return it! You won't even need your receipt! We can look it up!"
Do you hear anything in what he said that resembles, "But, remember, you need to return it w/in 15 days!" Nope? Me, neither.
I used it twice, found it was fine for my hand, but was causing me to put my wrist in an unfavorable position, and boxed it up.
The Best Buy stores around me are not conveniently located. So, it took me a while to get back to one to return it. Imagine my shock, today, when I finally make it back to the one where I had bought it, I had all the parts of the mouse in the original box (which they examined), and they said, nope, you can only return it w/in 15 days!
Now, I realize that I could have looked at the return policy myself, but the clerk who sold me the product acted so chill about returns! So, I didn't think I needed to!
Back to today's events, I said I wanted to talk to a mgr, so the return-desk clerk called his team "leader." Rather than come out to face his customer, he told the clerk to offer me the Best Buy Plus plan in exchange for the mouse, which, you guessed it, was the same price! I was so disappointed that I took the mouse back and left. I told the clerk to tell his leader that it was unprofessional for him not to come out and talk to me, face-to-face!

Two weeks ago I was both treated like, and accused of stealing by a store security guard here. I will not say this guy’s name, but he and the other security guards had been following me the entire shopping trip. Mind you, I was making a return & my items were at the front while I looked for something I wanted to return. The return/exchange took FOREVER. I’m talking 30 minutes. So I go to check out an iPhone 15 case, and noticed it was for iPhone 14. Wanted to see if it would work, so I lined up my phone to the phone case in the box. Security guard comes over and loudly says: “I can’t have you stealing stuff, not happening!” In front of a store full of shoppers. Not only was this embarrassing, but now I have to return all my purchases to Best Buy from the last few months which is ~$8k-$12k in electronics. This experience was dreadful the entire time. This was on my birthday. I asked for a canon camera after this. boom. Another 30 minutes waiting, after already getting harassed by security. The whole point of a physical store vs online is being able to look at, and get a feel for a product. You guys need to hire people with more restraint. This was downright awful, and completely ruined my birthday afternoon.
