This was a great experience. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and experienced with military items. They have completed field packs from the last 100 years. Great quality military regulation issued equipment. Will be visiting again soon.

The staff was friendly and well informed. If I need anything I'm checking with them first from now on.

The best store around for surplus gear. Very kind and knowledgeable staff, the inventory is top notch, and the prices are pretty unbeatable. Would recommend them over any other shops in the area!

Went in with my gremlin to get a jumpsuit for his ideal costume and I was more than surprised.
Help was offered immediately, prices were higher than expected on certain items, but not more than should be asked. Luckily we had our eye on something negotiable.
As a former kid who spent hours in similar shops- I personally would never step foot in a store like this for myself- it's just not my vibe and I have (probably unfair) ideas about who might run such a store... But I was met with kindness and flexibility and help. I'm honestly so gratefully surprised. My kiddo had a blast and found exactly what he wanted.
Prices ranged from cheap AF to the upper end of what you might expect, but the selection was great. Large, disparate demographic in the store while I was there. They made everyone feel comfortable and helped as far as I could tell. Probably the best scenario I could have ever imagined. And my kiddo now has a costume/random wear piece that is quality and authentic vs a lot of online retailers offerings.
This store is one of the reasons I love living in this area. Niche and really good at it. Very worth the visit if you're interested in such offerings.

A fun store for most, maybe even a little PTSD for those of us who have been in the military. I noted that the prices are a bit high (IMO) for just about everything I looked at, and yet if you want it now, maybe they are acceptable. I did enjoy looking at everything. Even the smell on the military canvas, etc, was fun to relive. They also have an attentive staff.
So it appears that this store closed during the pandemic and has not reopened, as far as I know. Been down there a few months back, and it's no joy on the subject.

Surprise, surprise, another place in this region that treated me like a criminal and -not- a customer. Also not animal friendly. I stay on the east side of the city and don't have a car, so I transited near 2 hours just to get turned right around, and all I wanted was a pair of trousers. Thank you for the perfectly executed Oregon welcome, Aloha Surplus. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Wish it was not as expensive and the oversized lady did not continue to follow me around.

I'll start off by saying that this is a super cool store and worth checking out. Having said that, I'm used to going to Army Navy Surplus for bargains. The prices here are outrageous. $89 for a VERY used wool sweater? $25 for a hat? If $$$ is not an issue for you and you want to support a local business, I recommend checking it out. Otherwise, you're probably better off online.

The Gunsmith Chris, was knowledgeable and friendly. Aisles are narrow. A standard wheel chair may fit. Handicapped ramp available on back/left.
