This place is great. The only problem is it gets very busy and there is very limited parking. Sucess is a great thing and it creates challenges. This is a gem.

I heard about this place so I stopped in to check it out. It’s an interesting historical site. They have an open area for sitting and eating soups and sandwiches. They make their own Homemade Ice Cream which of course is what I chose. And it was delicious. There was only one staff person there but he was very friendly an efficient. He was conversant in LP’s and quite familiar with the old Music Millennium in Portland. They have a side library of books some of which were very old that you could sit and read. A front porch to sit on and watch the world go by. They do have a weekly evening dinner with live acoustic music that you go online to make reservations for. I gather that it’s quite popular. I bought an CD of the music for $5.00. Used it in my car and very enjoyable Bluegrass, Rockabilly, acoustic folk. All in all this is a great stop to stop yourself. It’s right on the road to Champoeg State Park so a combination visit can happen. Just watch the stores hours. Check the website before you go. Built in 1863 and still in use. !!!
Wheelchair accessibility: There is one accessible parking space. It is not paved and opens into small crushed rock. There is a ramp up to the front porch. There are double doors at the entrance. No electrical entryway assistance. The interior is open and all one level.

Lovely experience here. The person working here talked about the history of the place and we enjoyed this cute little store. Sandwiches were good.

Little known gem. One of those places you almost want to keep secret so it doesn't get overrun by hipsters and yuppies. Support your local small business owners.

Everything is delicious. I wish I could eat a scoop of every ice cream flavor! (And I have just not in a single visit.) The staff are friendly and delight in being helpful.

What a perfect little community place to stop. This was our first time and tried the homemade ice cream WOW!!! They also have sandwiches and soup we will come back for. The Ambiance is vintage Oregon and the service warm and friendly along with meeting the owner Jordan the whole team is very knowledgeable and quick to please. Can't wait to come back!

We liked the joe wolf sandwich and the ice cream (our kiddo loved the peppermint bark ice cream and wanted me to mention it). What a beautiful place with great service.

Butteville Store is a hidden gem that is getting a lot of attention for their excellent food, outstanding service and wonderful ambiance. A family-run business where you always feel welcome! No matter when you visit whether for a meal, breakfast, a night of entertainment or wonderful homemade ice cream on a sunny day you are sure to be delighted! We enjoyed an evening of live entertainment and a delicious dinner last night with friends who raved about the experience and can't wait to return. Dinner at Butteville Store is like being a dinner guest with a good friend who is an excellent cook.

Just wow! This spot is such a gem. If you haven't been out to the Butteville store, hit it up asap! Sandwiches are creative and made with top notch ingredients- the pulled pork is my family's fave. Taco Tuesday is a fun way they switch their menu up each week (not so secret tip...try the queso!). In the summer they have Bingo on Wednesday nights that is an awesome way to spend a summer evening outside with grilled burgers, etc. Fall brings the addition of homemade soups to their menu - I just had the broccoli cheddar and it blew my mind - sooo good! They also do Saturday night dinners (get a res for these) with outstanding menus and fun live music. This spot is all about community. The owners and their employees make an effort to really connect with you when you are there. It's definitely one of my family's top spots to visit! OH! Did I mention the homemade ice cream????

We came for Saturday night dinner and outdoor music. Reservation is needed. Dinner is buffet style with grilled meats being the highlight, but there were enough vegetarian options for me. The live music was amazing, called Texas fiddle jam, a six person group. ??
