This branch has very bad service. Wells Fargo in general has been nothing but horrible in the one week I've attempted to be a customer. I have had a long series of nightmares including literally not being able to access my account online at all, and having ALL THREE ATMs in the rural region out of order at once over a weekend. As a walk in I was told I would have to set an appointment, and when I suggested that I could wait and see if the banker could squeeze me in I was essentially told to leave and come back at my appointment time. When I very simply stated my feeling of Wells Fargo, as a business, generally not feeling any urgency to help me the teller I was speaking with became passive aggressive and rude on a personal level. She gave me attitude and sarcastically asked if I wanted her to kick out the current customer and help me instead. If I was already frustrated with my banking experience, a rude teller personally insulting me only makes matters that much worse.

Jeff was fantastic. He helped open an account and did it with care and his awesomeness. So was all the service staff. Very polite and helpful. Very professional. Thank you

I will be signing up for a bank account with Wells Fargo soon. this review will be updated in a month or 2 to give an accurate assessment of their services/honor. no beating around the bush and no playing "Mr. NiceGuy". Therefore if you want to know whether this bank can be trusted or not, look to this comment in a month or 2.

will preface this review with an obligatory, "usually they have the check deposited and the receipt back before im even ready for the tube to come back, theyre usually that awesome". *Also, will say i *absolutely* get that new hires need grace and that well..some days stuff happens, right? ALSO-this is my mothers bank. My sweet, kind, if a bit technologically behind, and 99.9999% of the time the tellers are fricking incredible Super kind to her and very patient so thank you.HOWever. Today i was on speaker with my wife while she was racing around on her lunch to do a thing we do every month, for the last ?*five* yes five years. She handed the check over, which on the back reads, "for deposit only" and the persons name who floats our mortgage on it. Same as every single month. AND, the check is from..my wife, so shes not there attempting to write a check to herself. ive even done the deposit, tons of times(see above). Never ever had a problem, life happens tho-i get it. BUT. This person asked my wife to see her ID(the mortgage holders name) wherein she explained...this is for our mortgage, im not " " im "x" and i deposit this every month-to the woman on the bacl of the check. The teller then tells my wife that the numbers dont match up. My wife reads the deposit number aloud(im on speaker-shes still polite but gettin edgy for sure) The woman says "ohhhhhh blank blank TWOOOOO...." turns and goes..? My wife then tells me shes way late to work at this point and we got some gnar medical news yesterday and are procesessing that and trying to keep...life..together...so she texts her super like hey im so so sorry i dunno whats happening im stuck in the drive thru and theres no one here,.."A different woman comes out...finishes the transaction, doesnt say "hey sorry about that wait", or, "hi, we are in training rn, ty for your patience and im sorry for the wait", or, "sorry about that wait, the numbers thing threw her off". OR...the woman could have come back *herself, and said.."hey that sucked right? im so sorry, thanks for being so cool, im new and i know that took a lot of time." or a bs generic, "sorry, have a nice day".Nothing.So again, life happens, believe me, i get it. we dont know what kind of day yall are having but yall darn sure know what kind we are cos we are crying in the drive through. Then crying in the parking lot of work because no one gives a darn beyond themselves sometimes.. im sorry for whatever happened that caused that teller to not come back and finish the deposit herself and end the transaction, but my wife deserved at least a word. That was bs imo.Thank you for otherwise being a really terrific team.

This is my banking branch. For over a year I thought the Astoria branch was closed, and it's actually open.

They are the slowest Bank ever!!!! They do not even answer their phones.Oftentimes, they only have one teller open all day.And can see 4 to 5 other people sitting at desks. It doesn't appear that they are doing much

I came in early morning just to get a letter notarized. That's it. I waited 15 minutes, but was then told there was only one notary available & had to make an appointment at 3:30pm. I came back @ 3:30pm and that one notary was busy the entire time with someone else. I asked again if there was another notary & I was then provided a different story. Apparently the manager (who had also been there earlier) is also a notary. She notarized the letter & apologized they were short-staffed. Yet there were 2 notaries in the office, 1 of which wasn't even available for the appointment she specifically made. Short-staffing is one thing. Lying or misinforming a customer is another.

I’m changing my review because this branch is slipping big time. Not open on weekends anymore (and not posted on their door) and you have to schedule a time to speak to a personal banker which is awesome because they never answered the phone after several attempts over several days. After taking time off work to physically come in, they’re a week out before they can see you. Not very accessible to people working full time. And I don’t want to hear one more word about short staffed excuses. If you can’t have an employee on hand to answer the phone in the middle of the day then just close the branch.

I am business account holder - not from Astoria but doing business in Astoria for the next 14 weeks. My WF business account was set up in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV. I have made 5 over the counter deposits in Astoria WF with checks under my DBA name. I made an ATM deposit for the first time on 6/8/21. Imagine my surprise when it was returned because they didn't have my DBA listed on file. I asked how I was able to deposit under the same DBA name for 5x with no problem and now suddenly after using an ATM, my check was rejected? To make matters worse, the check was sent back to Las Vegas, NV. Like what I have mentioned above, I am here for business and have no way of flying in to Vegas until end of the month. My wife tried doing a mobile deposit but unable to do so because of mobile deposit limit. And the NSF fee - you think they'd waive the whole thing since I was depositing that check under the impression that they HAVE my DBA on file - they partially reversed the fee and gave me $8.75. What a joke. I didn't feel like employees were owning up to this mistake. The teller I spoke to sounded defensive when I told her that I made the over the counter deposit in that branch for 5 freaking times. Such a nightmare.
