The first time I stayed here was on a date. I know what you’re thinking… who goes on a trip to the coast, on a date? Well, my friend Dan did and that went spectacularly awful and resulted in him stranded at the beach for a weekend… but, he came out of it with a great story! So my thoughts were… go on a beach date! What are the odds you’ll also get ditched? If you do - then maybe you and Dan should go out.One of my favorite things about the Rose River Inn is the lack of tv’s. Our room did have a tiny one tucked away, but when I’m on vacation the last thing I want is a tv staring at me while I’m trying to decompress from screens. The location is perfect, centrally located and there’s lot of free street parking nearby. The decor screams of that whimsical Aunt named Taylor with too many cats and a love of everything vintage. So I felt right at home. Oh! I’d be remiss to forget to add that the tubs… the tubs are magnificent, oversized, clawfoot masterpieces. So be sure to bring some bubbles, whether for soaking or drinking.Story Update: I did not get ditched, and so far we’re living happily ever after. I’m not with Dan though, but we’re still friends.

No air conditioning like Google Maps claims and I can't seem to edit, and unfortunately it was a day of record heat. To be clear, I think I'd be more surprised if it did have it given that it's an old house and should be rarely needed (it may be different on the third floor). But besides that, it is indeed a great place inside and out. Rooms are nicely decorated, some have excellent views of downtown and the river, and the location is excellent, back in the neighborhood yet only a few blocks from downtown. Multiple wireless networks available for use.The hosts are indeed delightful, and breakfast was nice. Fruit bowel with available yogurt and granola, quiche, small desert and orange juice. Made sure to have a carafe of filtered water in the room upon arrival. Also, they let me stay in a more expensive room (with view) at no extra charge.

Perfect for a quick Astoria Oregon getaway. Our room surprisingly large, was clean, and the bed was ver comfortable. Nice views with large windows that open for a cool breeze.

Loved it! Absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast. Stayed in the Inspiration room on a weekend getaway. Owners were incredibly nice and always had great suggestions for things to do and things to avoid(if there is traffic) around the area. Very accommodating for not only food allergies but also personal tastes. Rooms were beautifully decorated with older collectables. Felt like everything in this house had a story and we just wish we had more time to hear them. Cannot recommend more!

This Bed & Breakfast was so great. The location, the house itself, the hosts, and the breakfast were all amazing! Pam and Dave were super sweet and cooked a mean breakfast. Also, I could probably read on that porch for hours. Highly recommend staying here while you’re in Astoria. It’s less than a 5 min walk from most things.

Loved staying here! It was exactly what we were looking for and more! Walking distance to river walking path, Mariner’s museum, & restaurants. It was nice & quiet. We were in the Sun Flare room, which was so nicely decorated and had a nice extra room with chairs (and blankets) overlooking the Columbia River. Outside is decorated beautifully with flower gardens! They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy & breakfast was sooo yummy & filling!!! Only wish we could stay longer, we were only there for 1 night.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast Inn. It is a large home, built in 1912, full of charm, warmth, antiques and old furniture and has that great smell that only an old house can have. Our room was on the second floor, it was quiet, comfortable, and homey, such a welcome change from the cookie cutter rooms in modern hotels. It had a small sunroom attached to it which had a nice view out the window towards the Columbia River and downtown Astoria. We struggled a bit to drag our heavy suitcases up the stairs but have no one to blame but ourselves for overpacking – ha-ha. The location is great, just a short walk to the riverfront and the downtown area, with lots of restaurants nearby. The next morning, we were served a delicious homemade breakfast and had a great conversation with the couple at our table - it turned out the wife grew up in the same place as my wife, Santa Fe, NM, went to the same schools and they knew people in common – such a small world.

Lovely rose garden/flowers outside. Had room with porch and windows could open looking down to waterfront. Quality products in bathroom. Breakfast very good. Proprietor gave you all the basic info you needed but not a people person.
