Hands down, the best record shop in Astoria. The sheer volume of records available is staggering. Tens of thousands of records, and more. Takes a bit of digging, but worth it when your walking out with absolute gold, and your not breaking the bank either. Forget Bach n' Rock, The Lonely Crab; Play it Again is THE one-stop-shop for all your musical needs.

Richard is an awesome person. Such a great collection of vinyl and at such an amazing price. Well worth the 2.5hr drive from Washington.

So many records, good prices, I found my new go to place. FYI cash only.
As other said, a little unorganized, but some great unique finds

If you’re looking for place that is shiny new and has all polished records, that is not your place - BUT - this store is an absolute gem. Rows, tables, boxes and shelves full of LPs, Singles, CDs in different conditions. Don't be put off by the location. An absolute amazing experience for diggers. The prices are fair. Has an insane variety of records from all genres. The owner is a laid back person, knows where everything is. So if you can’t find something by yourself, he knows where to look. Managed to find some records here, that I couldn’t find in regular record stores. Could have bought so many more, but since I was visiting from Germany, the space was limited in my suitcase ?He’s told me at checkout that he is planning to get it more organized soon, but I absolutely loved it. Dig through some records, take your time - worth a stop.

This was a bargain, basement delight, with an absolute character for an owner and worth visiting with him alone, we walked away with five great old albums. They were in good condition for two dollars apiece, nothing main stream or easy to find so you need to really enjoy bargain basement In this case it’s truly in the basement, we will be back.

Record store. Experience. Friendliest business owner in town. Check it out and have an adventure digging through records, tapes, and such.

Possibly the most legendary record store I've ever been to.

Amazing collection, especially if you love records. (I do not.) Has an eclectic CD collection too, and I found several items. Amazing spot. Watch your strp on the staircase. Owner is fabulous and a neat character. Also has movies, tapes and 8-tracks. Great prices. Wish it was more organized - I would have stayed much longer scouring and buying CDs.

Perfect spot to dig for some treasures! There's a seemingly endless amount of records to look through and the owner was very nice. Most of the records were $2 a piece which we thought was very cheap. Loved it there!

Richard's collection is amazing! He gave us a box, we filled it up, and he pretty much charged us per record, not even really looking at what they were. I also got a bunch of cassette tapes and a holder for them too. He has hours posted, but please note he has several other jobs and isn't always there when scheduled. To be sure, call his number.*Also important to note - it's cash only.

This place is dirty, and gross, and scary. Which isn't always a bad thing. I love a good adventure. But we hurried out of there quickly. No hidden gems here, just a musty old basement full of records that haven't been cared for, and a creep that wants you to buy his garbage. At best, you'll have wasted your time, but likely, you'll be running away, slightly upset by what you've just endured. It's not the only place in town. Go somewhere else.

RICHARD IS OPEN AGAIN! HIS NEW LOCATION is 1156 Duane Street, Astoria Oregon, 97103. His store is UNDER the Video Horizons store, just go down the stairs. Richard's new location is absolutely huge and filled with records. I just visited his new store on October 12, 2021 and he is planning on being at this location for a while so go check him out.I would describe this new location as a glorious record dungeon. If you like bargain records that may not be perfect condition but well priced then you will love this place. For as much inventory as he has, Richard is very organized and you will pretty quickly figure out where things are. If you can't find it he can take you there. This is my favorite used record store of all timeIf you have never visited this store before here are a couple of things to know. Call first because Richard, the owner, sometimes has to work other jobs on the side and may not be there when you want to visit. If you call him and tell him when you are coming he will let you know if he is there or he will make every effort to get there to meet you. Most of his items are not priced but believe me, he will cut you a great deal. Just grab a stack that anything that interests you and you will be happy with the price he gives you.Don't miss this place!
