This is our new favorite place to stay in Astoria, you walk in the lobby you see vinyls the best collection of records anywhere you are given a record player to play in your room no AC just open your windows and the shared shower is BEAUTIFUL as is the shared bathroom and you are home truly home.

Love this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, each one is unique, and the location is perfect! We stayed in the Astor building suites and ended up booking an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. We definitely plan on booking again next time we’re in Astoria. Thanks!

This location was perfect! My partner and I stayed in the motel 6 just under the bridge last summer here in Astoria and it was pretty good for a motel 6 I would say but I knew I wanted to come back to Astoria this year so we thought we would try something different for this stay. Saw this place and honestly didn't even realize the whole bathroom situation existed until after booking which did make us hesitant but we still proceeded since this place seemed beautiful. Genuinely impressed with the outcome of this stay. It was just in the heart of town to make our walks convenient and easy. The shared bathrooms, fridge and kitchen seems intimidating but we never really had a problem with it. Out of the 3 nights we stayed there was only like 2 times where the bathroom we always used was occupied so we just had to use a different bathroom. The no TV's was a bit weird but we weren't really in the room till night and the iPad they provided did just what it needed to do for us. I also loved the smell of the hand soap/body wash. Overall I loved this stay and I will be here again!

Beautifully appointed. Gorgeous sunset. Some street noise, but fan helped to drown it out. No AC should be mentioned in listing. Would stay here again, but maybe not in August.

Enjoyed my stay as usual. The only problem was that I had to switch rooms after the first night because the computer was down and they had no paper trail to show who had what room. Other than that, excellent rooms and service!

Do not stay here ever! No bathrooms in the room no elevators and no TVs in the rooms. There's no bathroom in the rooms and they do not tell you this until after you've checked in. The beds are so soft you sink in and it kills your back. There are no elevators to take your luggage up to the second floor where the rooms are at. When we found this out after checking in we asked for a refund so we can go get a hotel with a TV, elevators and a bathroom but they refused to give us a refund. Like I said avoid this place like the plague! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at besides a shed /room I rented once at a campground back in 1989.

Norblad Hotel in Astoria, OR is a good option for your stay. The hotel is located in downtown Astoria and offers old school, rustic experience. Even though it is an old building, it is clean and well maintained. Yes, the restrooms and shower rooms are shared, yet they have enough at each floor.

View from 8th floor Astor building the best in city. I liked there was no TV. But light pollution coming in glass windows at top of door. Little noisy early morning from traffic on Commercial st. And some renovation noise in nearby rooms
Walkability: Can walk about anywhere from hotel to all the sights.

I’ve stayed at a handful of hostels but this is the first time in a suite. We really loved it! It was more private and the shared bathrooms/showers were unbelievably immaculate. It was super convenient to have a sink in the suite as well, and not have to leave to wash hands or brush our teeth.

Visited about two weeks ago. It was our first time in Astoria and this place was picked at random. I was genuinely impressed with our welcome from front desk, matter of fact, they were overall nice and well informative in case you had questions (s/o to both day and night shift). The suite we stayed at was cozy, showers were great, beds were comfortable, the view from our room was wonderful! You will hear traffic noise during day and squeaky floors here and there, we expected it since it is an old building. We did almost everything within walking distance such as eating out, shopping, etc. The misses and I will definitely come back again and we appreciate the hospitality very much. Thank you!
