Michael P was very helpful with our banking needs while on our trip and even recommended some local spots to check out. We appreciated his kindness!

I've banked with Umpqua for years, both business and personal. Always top-notch service. The new branch in Astoria is no exception.

I needed a local bank that provided safe deposit as well as other banking services. I called US Bank ( a local number) and got a recording talking about online banking. The recording ended the call. Poor customer service. Given the fraud perpetrated on customers by Wells Fargo, I did not want to deal with that bank (although I am sorry for the local employees who may not have participated in wrong doing). I called Columbia Bank and Lisa answered the phone promptly, answered my questions, and told me that she or Jessica could help me when I came in. When I went to the bank, Jessica helped me set up my accounts as well as the safe deposit box. She was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. Based on my first encounters with the staff at Columbia Bank, I highly recommend them. Also, while I was waiting I read in their prospectus that for 2017 they were rated #11 in best banks by Forbes. I highly recommend them for their efficient and personable staff as well as their status as rated by Forbes.

I am on day 2 of attempting to take care of my deceased fathers affair. I have all the court papers that I am administrator of the estate, and they will not allow me to even allow me to enter the SD box's. Sad state of affairs when you are grieving, have proof legally w/ ID to take care of things. Do I really have to get my attorney involved????
