Christy is friendly and helpful. She has gone above and beyond to make sure every experience we've had at Astoria Scuba exceptional. They have a knowledgeable staff and will make sure you have the right gear for you. She's not trying to sell anything beyond what she thinks is best for your experience. She always treats us like friends. I appreciate everything you do, Christy, and we will keep coming back. If you live in Washington or neighboring states, you'll save a bundle, just not paying sales tax here. Do yourself a favor and stop in for all your SCUBA needs and classes.

my wife and i did a naui refresher with Astoria scuba. everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. we went into the day thinking that we would just knock some rust off, Dan corrected a couple of things that we had been taught differently and i feel like a better diver. as we progress and seek more skills i wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Rented kayaks for local paddling. Staff was very friendly, got us what we needed in short order, and price was reasonable.

Best equipped Dive shop shop around . Great staff and service is awesome . They've got their own Hydrostatic testing system for hydroing your tanks, one of only a few in the Pacific Northwest . They carry all the top brands including SCUBAPRO , MARES, ZEAGLE, OCEANIC , HOLLIS , to name a few . Prices are great too . My son and I just finished our Nitrox training and my son did his OPEN WATER DIVER checkout dives with me and a group in Hoodsport . Very professional Instructors , in fact the best I've ever met . They were super friendly , knowledgeable and we all felt safe as we found out they were all military Special forces divers . I just signed my wife up for the OPEN WATER DIVER/ NITROX COMBO a couple days ago . She's super stoked !

Took the advanced open water class with Dani last weekend. She is an excellent instructor with amazing amount of experience and expertise. She is relaxed and encouraging, and genuinely interested in helping us become better divers. And we did!!! It was truly a great experience!

Great scuba shop they sell everything you need to get in the water, including training. Also has some cool pellet and paintball stuff. NAUI scuba training group dive trips and refresher courses. They also service and sell and all sorts of dive gear and fire extinguishers. Best part is prices are amazing for a small town shop, literally comparable to online but with onsite service you will never get online.

We completed our “nitrox “ booklet over one year ago, they have never given us any notice of when we could take our dive. This was after losing our information, about certification. They kept saying that NAUI was the problem. Finally they had to call the dive shop we were at in Hawaii. Got our certification cards a month later. I would not recommend this as a place to learn

Talked to an employee in the morning who started by insulting my home state. I let him know I had lots of kayaking experience and he said that as long as the wind was manageable there would not be any issues taking a kayak out later in the day. Early afternoon now with a slight breeze and he wouldn’t rent to me, citing unsafe conditions on the water. I think he didn’t want to carry the boat down to the water. Seems like a great scuba shop, but rent kayaks elsewhere.

Signed up for open water scuba class with this shop. I attended three days of confined water and was the recipient of three seperate loud public verbal attacks from Mr. Holcomb during that time. I had borrowed gear from a friend and was told it would have to be inspected before I could use it. I was told the entire regulator set would need rebuild and paid $100 for this. On telling the owner of the gear this he informed me that the regulators belong to his wife and have three dives on them. When the regulator set was next used, the computer flooded. Newport scuba repaired it and relayed that the battery hatch gasket was missing and had caused the flooding. When I withdrew from the class I informed Mr. Holcomb that it was largely due to his abrasive nature. He responded with, "I don't go in for touchy feely sh:t".

My experience with this dive shop was terrible. Mr. expert inside was very rude. I wanted a few specific tasks on old gear to be completed and serviced properly then I was going to purchase a few items. Ended up taking my business else where. High prices , yuppie if it's not less than a year old it's bad gear attitude . Sells nothing used . Not even suits . will make sure you know he's the only place on the coast (not true) and that he's sooooo good that the military only comes to him to have gear serviced. He was worked up . I do not recommend this dive shop as a prior commercial diver and recreational diver .remeber See breathe and float 😒
