Horrible experience time and time and time again. This isn’t just a once in awhile busy issue. The carriers are lazy and don’t like their job constantly losing packages and sending them late. It takes 3 days for a package to LEAVE Ashland to get to Portland. 3 DAYS!! over and over I have checked tracking. If I drop a package off in Phoenix or Talent it arrives in Portland THAT NIGHT! Even after 4pm drop offs. As well, Ashland refuses to input time stamps on their tracking in a effort to mask the delays so you cannot confirm drop off times. It starts with the management look at the post office. It’s the most filthy post office I’ve ever seen. Nothing gets wiped down there’s ripped posters all over the place supplies are never refilled and they never ever sweep or mop. Everyone seems miserable especially the customers.

What--CLOSING BEFORE the 5PM!!!!!???!!! What's up with that? After work I went there to mail a package, a return. It was raining pretty good. I got there about 10 minutes before closing. The inside door to the customer service desk was locked! When I said- hey, it's only 4:50pm, the postal worker would barely look at me, he just grunted at me to go use the auto mail a package machine because there's only one clerk working the counter now ....How is that a good reason to shut your doors early? I needed help at the counter. This isn't the private sector, it's a government post office. There weren't even that many people and I wouldn't have minded waiting. But our local post office decided at the very busiest time of day when people get off work etc, to close the post office early. I later found out that it's not totally uncommon for them to arbitrarily decide they want to close their doors early before closing hour 5 PM. The post office substation at Rite-Aid has permanently closed (found out after I got there after work today). Now I have to go back to the downtown post office again tomorrow after work- my third attempt to mail one package. Not too cool.

Can I give zero stars? Worst post office I've encountered in my life, after living in five states and probably a dozen cities. It's not necessarily the carries but the management. Mismanaged, understaffed, mail always comes very late (usually after 5 pm) and is often misdelivered. Too few staff members at the counter for a town this size. When I've needed personal service, I go to the next town over. Here, they don't answer their phone and the management never makes personal contact when a problem is reported on their website. It was terrible even before the federal postmaster cut everything. What a joke and I feel bad for the carriers.

Product was delivered to an address in Ashland even though it had a Medford address. Can't file a claim on line because it says delivered. Can't get anyone at the office to help either. Was told a manager would call me, never did. Place is a joke, I'd give zero stars if I could.

In two weeks I have eight letters in my box that were supposed to go to other locations. I often get "unable to deliver" messages when no deliver was attempted ... proved by video. I have even had packages that never showed up and one marked as delivered that wasn't. I've never lived in another location where the mail delivery was so absolutely poor.

On one occasion prescription medications were left not on the porch as instructed but at a tiny outbuilding not even in sight of the house and in the summer heat. On another occasion several large parcels were shoved into the mailbox to the point of it tearing and being difficult to remove (10 lbs of clothing was inside and could have been damaged.) Food items have also been left out in the mailbox as well, did not think the shipping method chosen was supposed to do that either. Some things have been delivered with care but I am disappointed in the USPS locally.

Have not received 4 packages that tracking shows in their possession for over 10 days, Twice given notes for made up non-delivery reasons. Reschedule requests ignored. For giggles I called their phone number every half hour during business hours - always goes to a full voice mail. In all I guess a typical government agency. We don't care, we don't have to were the USPSUpdate : went to the USPS customer service and filled out a form re: the issue. In less than 24 hours the packages were delivered with an explanation that the route driver retired and they had been having problems filling the route. I now regret being snarky in my initial post, and my faith has been restored in the USPS

Wow.... what poor customer service. I have been waiting for a package. On the sellers end, it said it was attempted to be re-delivered 3 times and is now at the ashland post office. So I went in there to explain what's going on to the post office lady she went back to look for it then when she came back she told me I have to leave.... nothing else. Used a nasty tone with me and acted like I was holding up the line even tho I was just trying to get a question answered. DO NOT GO HERE, and if you need to, I wish you the best of luck. The employee I dealt with was not only super rude but VERY unhelpful...

Extremely rude service. Mean and nasty looks when entering this place. Mail items often missing and/or lost or sent to wrong place with no explanation of why. Discussing. Go to hell.
