About Hyatt Lake Recreation Area
Hyatt Lake Recreation Area features beautiful camping and day use areas with gorgeous views of the mountains and lake. The campsites are large with firepits, though they are very close with little natural separation between them. The lake itself is currently very low due to drought. The area offers many nearby hikes and abundant wildlife. Facilities receive mixed reviews, with some noting very clean bathrooms and showers, while others mention poor pit toilets. The camp hosts are consistently praised as extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent.

Lake was beautiful and the sites nice and clean, the woman's bathroom on loops A could be cleaned regularly.

So much prettier than the pictures. The Wildcat campground is a spit in the middle of water, so there are views all the way around. We went in the middle of July and, while there were people around, it still felt like there was a lot of space. The worst part of the experience was the super awful pit toilet. But whatever....
