“Rudi is wonderfully incredible! We had an emergency..a gas leak! He cared enough for our safety to fit us in right away. His prices are fair. He is honest and a bonus..he has a great sense of humor. He explained everything to us, was very patient with us too. Even though we live four hours away..we are hoping we can get to Ashland again so he can work on our car again. Our ten year old car is now driving like new. He called a taxi for us immediately and was kind the entire time. He made a difficult situation so much easier for us! You get to pet his two adorable dogs also. Go to Rudi's..you will be so glad you did! He is experienced not only as a mechanic, but with customer relations also. “Adam was sooo good to us. Called him up on Saturday before Labor Day with a request to check out our Chevy truck, which had a check engine light on. He told us to bring it in and he'd plug in to check the engine code. Ended up being a glow plug, which we can have done any time. Got us back on our travels up the Oregon coast. Definitely recommend this place for servicing your vehicle.”
“My son's 1996 4runner broke down near the California border and we had it towed to Southern Oregon Automotive at the recommendation of the towing company. They were able to diagnose the problem (blown engine) and were kind enough to let us leave the vehicle with them for nearly a week as we worked out towing arrangements for getting it home. They did provide us with a cost to install a new motor (which was reasonable, BTW), but we decided to hold off on doing any work on it for now. They were super responsive, respectful and accommodating. If I was local, I would use them for all my auto repair needs.”
“Yesterday I bought a Bronco from Butler Ford in Ashland. I wrote a review while I was waiting for the finance team to finish their paperwork and I left out some key people. What makes Butler worthy of 5 stars is the team of people coordinating one sale. Eric Edgar was relentlessly working on getting the best interest rate while Joel Nickerson was trying to keep the monthly payment within my comfort zone. When that was accomplished I ended up in Ken's office. He was a delight to work with as I sealed the deal. A few signatures later I was I was greeted by Rocky & Matthew. Together they helped me download the new Ford app on my phone all the while Micheal in detail was finishing up the Bronco's last minute shine. I never felt any pressure to get the sale done. “1-1/2 hours into our return trip home from Oregon to California, and without warning, our 2014 Subaru Outback’s dash lights began flashing. The all-too-common (to Subarus) transmission valve body control valve went bad. Stranded with pressing deadlines at home looming, Mike at Ashland Automotive took our call and immediately accepted us in, confirmed the diagnosis, ordered the parts, and got us back on the road as quickly as anyone could ask. His communication was excellent, and the technician worked late to get the job done. A big THANK YOU to Ashland Automotive for taking a lot of the stress out of a stressful situation.”
