Dr. Albrecht has been treating dogs, cats and misc. small animals for my family for over 20 years. She's compassionate and knowledgeable and her staff helpful. Highly recommended for quality veterinary care!

I needed a last minute surgery for my dog and everyone here was so accommodating. This place is truly great. From the front desk, to the techs, to the Dr. it was a great experience for an unforeseen circumstance.

We've been waiting for an hour now, in a hot room with a scared dog, like we've been forgotten and omg it's insane that no one had even came to check us out to see how we were doing. I had to leave the room because it's so hot and I'm not sure how puppy and mom are, they might be getting checked out rn and maybe not. Truly I wouldn't want to come back again, otherwise the positives for now is that it's a nice and sterile environment with people who seems to truly care about pets around them at the very least.

Best Veterinarian in Ashland! Dr Ahlbrecht sees all of my fur babies and always does an amazing job! Prices are fair and you can't beat the quality of care they provide for your pet. I want to thank the entire staff at Animal Medical Hospital for providing such excellent care to our for babies.

From the bottom of my broken heart...please take your precious babies elsewhere. I would give anything to go back in time so I could have taken mine somewhere else and avoided what has become one of the most traumatic and financially devastating experiences of my life. A former lifelong client here, this place has taken a turn for the worse and is no longer safe for your animals. Get a new vet before something bad happens. Don't make the same mistake I did. Please.

Great reviews but Id have to wait two weeks ( according to the receptionist) for Ginger to be seen. That's not doable for most pet owners.

Awesome vet care! My semi-feral kitten managed to get a fishing line stuck to her tail. Dr. Graeber was fantastic and helped my kitten out. I definitely recommend and will be bringing my other four legged friends to the Medford Animal Hospital in the future.

My spouse and I came in because something was wrong with our dog, he had been throwing up and we thought he had been poisoned. Rescue ranch in Yreka recommended us to Animal Veterinary Hospital because they were affordable and they take amazing care of all their rescues. We were able to schedule an appointment for an ultrasound the next morning. They ended up finding a massive blockage and recommended surgery. Luckily they just had a cancellation and was able to get him in right away. They were even nice enough to let us put down as much as we couldn't since we didn't have the whole amount of money and pay the rest when we picked him up. The surgery went perfect and we ended up paying a lot less money than we expected, which was very nice. They had us schedule a checkup visit two weeks out to remove his stitches(which they also did for free!) You can really tell that they care about the animals here. Ozzy has been traumatized from vets before and everyone working there really made a huge difference in making him feel comfortable. Since his surgery, ozzy has recovered perfectly and he is back to his normal self. My spouse and I will be forever thankful to the staff here for saving our baby. Thank you so much for all you do!

Confused on what to put. A technician behind the counter raised her voice and told me to put my mouth on above my nose. She did not need to yell. Could have just asked me nicely. You see, I have COP D. And when there is nobody in the waiting room I keep it below my nose so I can breathe. I am a 62 yr old woman and I know when someone is being a b***** No harm done though. We have been looking for a vet closer to our home for 3 dogs. We won't be going here. A bedside manner is very important. I left in tears.

My dog had 2 TPLO's performed here. Dr.Knox is a great surgeon, and the techs are always super helpful with my dog who is dog aggressive and generally a handful. They always make us feel safe and cared for and never shame me for having to go through the back, avoid other dogs, take weights ahead etc. The front office staff provide great service, they are always so kind and visit with me like old friends when we are waiting. Vet care is expensive (like everywhere) but they accept care credit and are also helpful in choosing treatment options that won't break the bank. Harlow wouldn't be here (or running) today if it weren't for these folks. The estimates were accurate for all treatments we received and communication was consistent and accurate while my dog was hospitalized. My dog had mild complications (at no fault of the hospital) after surgery and even from hours away the staff helped solve our problems, get her new meds, etc. I couldn't suggest these guys enough.

Staff and vet are very nice but I typicslly have to wait over an hour just to be seen. It was definitely more timely service during the height of Covid when we were not allowed inside the building ane staff retrieved our dogs from the car

The time has come to leave a review for Dr. LeAnn Ahlbrecht and the rest of the staff at Animal Medical Hospital. I don't know everyone's name, but Diane sticks out to me, as she has talked me off the ledge several times, like a highly trained psychotherapist, working me through many tears over the last several months. My gratitude is truly ineffable. I moved to Ashland in early 2020, a crazy time to move, I know. Upon arriving here my beloved first born kitten started to have an eye drainage issue in one eye only. We were new NEW to the PNW and all of us seemed to develop odd allergy like symptoms. 2020 was an not an ideal time to have strange symptoms. Edgy times. However, they were extremely kind and professional both times he was seen for this. They managed to get him in within a week each time. Just wow. I wasn't able to meet anyone at these visits, as we were under strict pandemic protocols. This required pulling up to a numbered space, calling the office and stating you were there for your appointment and providing the space number you were parked in. One of the front desk staff would then promptly come and retrieve your beloved fur family. That was difficult for me, but I understood the necessity of keeping the staff safe. I must say, it was a very efficient and effective process. This staff runs like a well oiled machine. The real meat and potatoes here...several months ago my boy had blood in his urine and decided to pee on my bed, right beside me, to let me know something was wrong. He's NEVER had an accident, EVER, but I was missing all the warning signs. He had to take drastic measures. I was immediately shaken at the sight of the blood. Dr. Ahlbrecht's staff got us in right away. They asked that I be open to dropping him off and that they would call me once finished, as they were working him in between other appointments. Of course I was okay with this, I was blown away at their accommodation! I was contacted by Dr. Ahlbrecht saying he had a pretty nasty UTI. We were given meds and he seemed to be okay for a week or so. He had to resort to peeing on my bed, again right beside me, this time showing even more blood. I was beside myself. They once again had me bring him in right away. It's unbelievable to me that they allow emergency type calls and just make it work. I have never had an experience at a Vetrinary clinic like this. Normally you're referred to an emergency clinic or need to wait WEEKS for an appointment. Not here, they make it happen. Regardless of their day. They just do whatever it takes to care for any and all animals in need. They truly care about their pet patients. It not about the money with them. Their fees are BEYOND reasonable. Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to see a vet for 10 minutes to get a prescription. Aside from below, I don't believe I've paid more than $70 for a visit. This is for top notch care. The medicine is also very reasonable. This place is a gift. My gratitude is beyond words. I can't express how grateful I am to have this Vetrinary clinic 10 minutes from me. I truly believe there's not another like it in this Nation. I lived all over the US and never experienced the level of care, compassion, professionalism and understanding than I have at Animal Medical Hospital. Never. My boy ended up needing a surgery to remove a bladder stone. 4 months and many visits later, I was able to cry in relief at his recovery today. He came home from surgery in April, heavily medicated and feeling like a new man, he took to jumping up and down from his cat tree. He ended up slowing his recovery down significantly, we were concerned about a potential rupture/herniation. He had to go back to spend a week behind bars, being boarded to be completely immobilized. This was so reasonably priced that I'm afraid to mention how inexpensive it was, just in case I was cut a break. If I was, THANK YOU AGAIN! Dr. Ahlbrecht called to say that he was an exemplary visitor and the staff really enjoyed seeing him every day. My heart. We had t

I rarely review business's, however, in this awful awful case I need to make an exception. Animal Medical Hospital and the owner, Dr Ahlbrech, have taken, from me, the most precious being I have ever had, in my life, and I am never going to recover, from this heartbreaking loss. My 4 lb toy Yorkie was the love of my life. He was my only family and my reason for living. I entrusted Dr Ahlbrech, with his veterinary care, and ultimately, his well being and she let us both down and it cost my beloved dog his life. Dr Ahlbrech was to perform a dental procedure, on my sweet dog, in March of 2019 but, unbeknownst to me, she pawned him off, to a colleague of hers, right before the surgery was to start, and there were problems with the anesthesia (she later told me) and my little guy ended up with fluid in his lungs and had great difficulty coming out of the anesthesia. He was known to have a collapsing trachea condition and was 9 years old. Dr Ahlbrech knew these things and still scheduled the surgery. 12 teeth were removed during the procedure. My dog did wake up but never recovered and could not breathe well, ever again, and had extreme episodes of coughing and choking, as the months continued on. His trachea was permanently damaged, during the dental procedure. The very last episode he had, he was taken to an emergency hospital but I was told that his trachea was too far gone and there was nothing that could be done to save him. Dr Ahlbrech never even confessed that she did not perform the dental on him. I had to learn this, from another vet, in her practice, months later. I had specifically stated that no one else was to work on my dog but her. She breached our contract. And her colleague made an error, in surgery, that cost my beloved dog his life. I will mourn this loss the rest of mine. Please consider this a warning, if you love your pet.

Thank you! I took my cat here after her sister died unexpectedly and I was worried about her health too. They gave her an exam focused on my worries and kept costs reasonable. They also responded to my neurotic questions and called me back personally and promptly when I emailed them questions. They told me my cat was very sweet and purring in the tech's arms I appreciated that they took the time to tell me what was going on since we can't be in the room during covid-19.
