The last time I was here was several months ago. It was a Friday night and there were 2 other people in the store. It felt extremely sad. Not in the mocking way the word "sad" seems to be thrown around nowadays, but in the real way of watching someone's dream die.Real people worked here. Real people tried to make this a place that was community forward. This place had the misfortune to serve high quality items at a time when even normal grocery prices were at record levels.Their other stores are doing well and I'm sure I'll visit them and I wish them well. I don't understand some of the hateful reviews people are leaving here. If it's too expensive for you, dont shop here. I don't leave nasty reviews at Kuni BMW because I cant afford one.

Very sad... have loved shopping here, but they are in the final phase of death... as the store is closing for good.Everything in the store is currently 50% off, so I went a little wild and purchased many things I wouldn't normally purchase... so I now have a large amount of Seasonings, Flavorings and Ethnically specific Starters... also a few compulsive buys like Dark Chocolates and Crackers.

Lol! You know exactly why ?Just heard this place is closing now. Soo much faster than i thought it'd be.Good riddance to this store. Management was terrible and refused to ever listen to any employee concerns. Joel & Christi ran this company into the ground because they could not learn how to make a profit, cut spoilage, or sell anything customers actually wanted/needed.One of our first quarters of inventory resulted in $160k in spoilage in just one quarter for the grocery & dairy/frozen departments.If you were wondering why prices were so high, this is part of the reason. Passing their losses straight on to the customers because they couldnt bother to pull product that didnt sell, all to maintain their precious "variety".I was an order writer here til the end of last november and they complained at me nonstop to order product we spoiled out whole cases on, while being obsessed with a 30%+ profit margin on every single item and refusing to let me pull items from the shelves that did not move.One of the most ridiculous Grocery stores i have ever worked for. Bankruptcy was inevitable under this leadership. ?Again, good riddance ?

I love the selection here. While Safeway narrows choices to focus on best sellers, Basics offers the items I can't find elsewhere.

Now that they are going out of business. Not only is is packed, but there’s no loss prevention, so people are just rushing out the doors with items. I guess it’s a free for all. I’ll pay, but damn, I wish I had the courage of everyone else.

So happy they are there! Excellent meats and bakery, beautiful displays and selection. Slightly higher prices but so worth not suffering through ghetto Aloha Safeway!

They harrased me about a backpack, they overcharge and they're going out of business. Know why bales went under, because they had the exact same business model in the exact same location, this is Aloha, not lake Oswego or west linn.
