St. Vincent de Paul - Albany Thrift Store is a multifaceted organization that operates 13 retail thrift stores, 3 mattress recycling facilities, a used car lot, appliance recycling and Styrofoam recycling operations, and an online book sales department. These endeavors generate revenue to fund the organization's social services, which provide supportive resources for individuals, children, and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Customers generally find the thrift store to be clean, with friendly employees and a good selection of items. The parking lot is easy to access, though some suggest leaving the area by going east for safety reasons. While the prices can be a bit higher than other thrift stores, the organization's mission and the opportunity to contribute to the community are appreciated by many shoppers. Some customers have expressed frustration with the placement of mobility aids and the high prices of certain items, but overall, the store is seen as a valuable resource for the community.
This is the place to donate clothes. They use the funds to help people with utility bills, rent, gas vouchers, etc. unlike other places, who do nothing for the community.

I used to really like shopping here because things were reasonably priced but it's become way overpriced. $900 for a used white couch covered in dirty shoe prints is untenable.

Last visit the store was rearranging things. What I did not see was one of my favorite, was a book table. I always found at least a book.
