My miniature doxie passed away a year ago after an unexpected massive brain seizure type episode. River's Edge kept her calm and sedated until I rushed back to Albany as I had been out of town. The staff took turns carrying her swaddled like a baby until I got there. The owner stayed to allow me to say goodbye to my precious girl. OUTSTANDING VET AND STAFF. I would give them 100 stars if I could.

We switched to this office because it was closer to our home. We've been taking our two dogs here for about a year now. We've had routine and deep medical care (e.g., anal gland expression, anxiety medication, dental cleaning with anesthesia). I have been incredibly pleased with this business from the way they smoothly coordinate animals through their reception area and into the waiting rooms.... to the compassionate care from Dr. Gibson.... to the affordable care they provide. This team of care providers is doing a fantastic job!

Rivers Edge saved my dogs life and my sanity while I went through a tough time and could have lost him. My dog Bubby ate a piece off his rubber ball and swallowed it. I was unaware he had swallowed it. He started puking so I took him in to Rivers Edge. They were able to get me an appointment quickly. They listened to me when I asked for above and beyond measures and never made me feel bad for being so worried about my dog. Dr. Gray was reassuring, answered all my questions, and was willing to give options for care. Dr.Gibson performed a difficult and long surgery and was incredibly thorough. He got the piece out and had to respect several inches of my dogs bowel. I was kept up to date throughout the entire surgery process by their wonderful staff. Nyha was so helpful and always answered my calls with kindness. The staff actually encouraged me to call and check on him often and they let me visit him several times a day when he had to stay with them. Dr.Todd say with my dog and put bluey on an IPad to try to soothe him while he was recovering from surgery. He made a full recovery and I cannot thank this facility and all its staff enough. Above and beyond doesn’t even cover the level of care that they gave my bulldog Bubby.

Dr. Todd got right down on the floor with my whippet and gave her a careful exam. Explain to me everything that she had done and her impressions. Really appreciated her thoroughness and detailed explanations.

Doctor was very kind and gentle helping us with this poor kitty. The staff was also kind and helpful, understanding that this situation was difficult for me financially.
I do recommend this center for any type of animal care!

Great place to take your pet. They are open late for emergencies and has a technician available 24/7 I believe. Highly recommended!

We recently visited for the first time during an emergency with our geriatric dog. Care providers and staff provided excellent communication, and we were given an appointment within 45 minutes of calling. Care providers demonstrated skilled, considerate, and kind behavior. While hopefully we won't NEED to be back, we will definitely return if necessary.

My sweet little Chloe had a stroke and my regular vet wasn’t available. So I called rivers edge and got her a next day appointment. The staff and doctor were all so unbelievably kind and compassionate. My fiancé and I took all 5 of our daughters in there. The girls were so upset and crying and being very loud. They never once asked us to quiet down or said anything. They let us sit with Chloe before and after saying our goodbyes. They even switched us to a bigger room so we could be more comfortable.
The respect and kindness they showed us during one of the hardest times in our lives was so much more than I expected. My girls all laughed because the doctor called her “Chloe Monster” she was tiny but she was full of sass and she was a monster ?. They allowed her to go wearing her favorite outfit wrapped in her baby blanket and in my arms.
I’ll just say if you need compassionate care and want to feel good about who you trust your animal with, go to rivers edge ❤️
