Friendly people who answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what I needed. My place looks great. They were very fast and cleaned everything up afterwards.

Ordered 5 yards of gravel ended up only getting three was charged $275 the biggest rip off of my life I would never recommend doing business with these people. The woman who I dealt with on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional she ended up hanging up on me. Is that how you treat a customer?

We have gotten mulch and splendid soil from these folks. Mulch was all slivers, but that’s hardly their fault. Soil is beautiful. We found the staff friendly.Their soil is cheaper than U&D if hauling yourself, but if you need delivery U&D is cheaper.I hate when companies don’t post their prices online. 2023 price list is in photos

Dont go to this place. Prices went up a little in most providers because of price gouging and parts costs but they upped their prices by over 50%. Products that they buy didnt go up nearly that much in price so its just shady business decisions. Example: Bought some rock bark that was 44 a yard 6 months ago. Its now 70. I bought the same for 50 at another local nursery and the mills didnt raise their prices much at all

After reading your other reviews, they just seem to get worse over the years. With no replys from the owner, it's likely they don't care. So doubtful they'll even read this. But in the slim chance you do, just know that your no different than half the small businesses in the Albany area when it comes to caring about customers. The sad truth is, Business is good enough now that these company's can afford to not answer calls, not return calls, close when they want and basically disrespect paying customers the way they do. The other part of that truth is that these are the same businesses that won't make it in the next few years when the customers are able to pick and choose. Not the business. If your going to have winter hours and not have that posted on your website, the least you can do is mention that on your message when people call instead of waisting there time driving all the way to the other side of town after work for nothing. How hard is it to change your message? It's not, if you cared.

Ordered two mulch products, $1500, 40 yards total, paid in advance, delivery came today. I was away from the office and left instructions for an assistant to tell the driver where and what to dump. Driver arrives, assistant tells driver to put half the red fir in the front parking lot, and the other half in the back parking lot along with the hemlock. Driver proceeds to dump half the hemlock in the front lot, and dumps all the fir in the back lot. Now I have to move 14 yards of fir by hand to the front of the property, and also 6 yards of hemlock to the back lot. I called the bark place to complain, and the manager said "Well if you wanted it done right maybe you should have been there rather than your assistant." And she claimed my assistant told them opposite of what I asked.
Bark Place Owner, if you're reading this, your driver and manager just cost you a customers repeat patronage. I don't know what has happened to your business that you have had to hire these disrespectful staff and a driver who couldn't follow a simple request, but you should really think about it. Are they worth keeping employed if they are costing you customers? Especially customers that pay a week ahead of time?
