I placed an order for a uvb light kit, it said on the site it was in stock which was perfect. When it came in, it was only a bulb and I had paid 70$ not including shipping. I reached out to their customer service, they responded quickly and agreed that they made an error. They said they would reach out the next day and let me know what they could do, I didn’t get a response so I sent a follow up, they said they didn’t have the item in stock and didn’t know when they would get it back in stock, I said I would work with them, maybe they had something different that would work for me. They asked me a few questions about my animal and then ghosted me. They are disorganized and have terrible customer service.

They have a great selection of terrarium tropical plants.
Unfortunately the live moss culture they sent me was infested with fungal gnats.
Customer service is top notch and personable, and I was refunded for the moss. Would definitely shop here again!

This store has common and uncommon tropical fish.
I was able to buy Black Ruby Barbs, which I have not seen in any stores for many years.

I can’t say enough good about this guy, actually makes phone calls to you, about how it will be shipped over, when, if that works, change if needed, calls the day of shipping to letting me know it coming right now. Ease my nerves. That’s just spectacular service. Response to order asap, corresponds on messenger asap, sent pics asap! All just to make sure the high end iggy was exactly what I described was not right, but it was even better looking!!!! my god… perfection. Thank you very much for getting me, my new loved ones, safe n sound and loved above all else, before they came to me. You can see they sure loved em for sure, very healthy, just Great!!! Just don’t be buying the stuff I plan to buy next. , ok? lol 3x buyer here.

First time here and the staff was amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The store had a wide variety of merchandise and live pets. My mom can't stop raving on how friendly everyone was.

Great place for pet lovers and exotic plant collectors. They Carry a good collection of your need. A little high on $$$$ but you have choices. I will recommend.

Had a bad experience with these guys. Staff does not tell the truth about the animals. For example, they sell you an animal and when you try to make an inquiry a few days later they will say that they don’t have them anymore, which was a total complete lie. When you go back in person to check for yourself, they do still have them there and only then does the staff tell you that they’re diseased and sick and dying. Why sell sick animals to people and lie about everything? Not going back to this place anymore. You can find out for yourself…

I was there between 6-7 pm today to grab some shrimp. I was told by the cashier that apparently their 'fish person ' was on break and I would need to wait. I could visually see 3 employees in the store. Apparently none of them had earned their PHD in netting fish from a tank like the highly specialized person on break. For a person who drops $20-30 a week this is pretty disappointing. I can see why people get frustrated and head back to Big Als.

Super helpful, knowledgeable staff. Was getting supplies for my Son's Ball Python. I'm a Dog guy, so I had no idea what he needed. Explained age of snake, etc. They sorted me out with what was needed. Great service.

tails n scales is the best place, i come here all the time to get frozen mice for my snake and now recently got three tree frogs & continually get crickets from them, they’re always so polite and informative. i appreciate the hospitality they emulate.

this place is fantastic and the staff are extraordinarily knowledgeable! this is the go to place for all reptiles, reptile needs and aquarium needs as well. we came from 2 hours away as our town doesnt have any pet stores that carry different varieties of live reptile foods. Definitely worth the drive! we will be back as well as ordering online.

The people working here are always so kind and knowledgeable when I want to learn more about snakes and they even let you handle them under supervision, which is always such an awesome experience. Such a good range of supplies as well~ the ball pythons and hog-noses are also adorable.
