It's not the cheapest market in Toronto, but it has most of the things a Brazilian would want to buy.
They say we shouldn't "convert" the amounts charged into our currency, but with the dollar so high, I found everything very expensive too.
The place is clean, organized and the staff are friendly. I'll be back!

I recently visited FreshCo Dundas & Runnymede at 3400 Dundas St W, York, ON M6S 2S1, and was highly disappointed with the condition of the store, particularly the cleanliness. The washroom was extremely unsanitary, with fecal matter visible and a pervasive, unbearable odor. The cleanliness issues extended beyond the washroom; there was also poop on the floor in the food aisles.
While shopping, I noticed a staff member arranging products but failing to address or even acknowledge the mess. Upon reporting the issue to the manager, I was informed that the area had been cleaned the previous night, and it was claimed that customers had made it dirty again. The manager also mentioned that maintaining constant oversight was challenging.
Overall, this experience was very unsettling and unprofessional. Such conditions are unacceptable in a food retail environment, and the lack of immediate response to cleanliness issues indicates a significant lapse in store maintenance and customer care.

Produce is so bad I won't even buy apples here, and you'll find things like cheese rotting on shelves and stocked products past expiration.

I've been shopping here for years and they always have great prices. The problem is in the last couple of years, nothing is fresh. Veggies are always gone bad and still left on the shelves. Also, do not buy your meat here. I've had multiple occasions when I buy meat and it has gone bad before the expiry date. Just yesterday I bought 2 cous cous salads and opened today and its gone bad. I think I need to start shopping elsewhere.

FreshCo Dundas & Runnymede
Name is Jamal. The manager that owns this grocery store on Dundas he does not have no love in his heart. I couldn't find a receipt and I had to bring back a gift card that wasn't activated. The lady didn't do her job properly. My girlfriend cleans up and throw the receipt in the garbage but they still have another receipt a copy of their own so the manager. .
I’m sad you guys have all these type of insurance and the manager refuses to help Jamal he has a receipt a copy of what I purchase of a gift card wasn’t activated he could I see it himself that it wasn’t activated through the receipt I come here four times in a week and now I’m kind of sad and disappointed to be treated like a piece of garbage

Omg… never thought I would taste my childhood ice cream again - corn popsicle!!! This is my fav Freshco for this very reason. They carry quite a few unique brands of foods from different cultural backgrounds. For instance, they even have my fav, Japanese Yukimi mochi ice cream in matcha! (Hardest flavour to find). Also they have several staples of produce and meats I buy here - they have grass fed ground beef for a stellar price! They have delicious Italian pasta sauces from Italy that are priced amazingly well! At times, they have the special bags of pasta from Italy. I like that they change their goods once in a while - like you will find unique brands of foods from different countries!

I really ever go to this store because it's just across the street from the gym I usually go to. Can yall carry a self check out so we don't have to deal with the cashiers rudness and entitlement? Thanks!
