“Edit: What happened after this encounter swayed my opinion on the store. Not one but two people reached out to me from the store explaining what happened and genuinely wanted to make it right and they went above and beyond to make it right. It was refreshing to see a company care about its level of service in this day and age where companies have more leverage over the customer and need not respond to all the bad reviews especially in the consumer electronics/PC space. I can see why it sits on a high rating compared to its competitors store.
Completely wasted my time. Called in to check if 4070 gaming was in stock at their store (even though their website said there were 10+ in stock) because I live far from the store and don't have a car. On the phone they said the same that there are plenty (10 to be precise) so didn't reserve one. After an hr and half traveling I reach the store and apparently they don't have any in stock. Mind you I reached 2 hrs after the call. Terrible experience.”

Amanda was an absolute legend helping me set up my new phone with Bell - went above and beyond to call multiple customer service numbers to sort out a porting issue we ran into from my old phone, and even stayed back to help me on a different day and checked in multiple times with me to see how the phone provider issue was going. My spouse and I had a real adventure in store with an awesome team, they set me up with a new case and a screen protector too, didn’t have to worry about a thing. “I’ve been a customer of Radio World for many years but a recent situation reminded why! The Garmin plotter on my boat had died the other day. As it was 7 years old, I was fully prepared to buy a new one.
But a chat on the phone John convinced me to hold off as he thought corrosion in the mounting bracket might be the culprit. A few days later I popped in and John was able to jury-rig an electrical connection for the replacement bracket and sure enough, my unit fired up fine. I’ve using for the last four days.
The only downside is the John also showed me the new version of my unit. I resisted however and opted for the $88 bracket rather than the $1600 for a replacement.
Great advice, a happy customer and saved some $$ as well.
