Incredibly disappointed with HottExhaust (these guys being the Canadian warehouse). Was excited when ordering a Magnaflow exhaust from them as the price was great, the shipping was advertised as "next day", and the weather was perfect for working on the car...
...but here I am at the end of week 6 waiting on my "next day" order, without any tracking information. In fact, the website has NEVER provided any updates since I ordered (Aug 19 2020) other than "awaiting fulfilment". I get there are complications with shipping products at times (especially cross-border) but SOME sort of tracking/order update would be nice.
I've reached out to them a few times, and John was helpful with explaining the delay to me the first time I inquired (Sept 1 2020), saying that my exhaust was in factory build scheduled to complete Sept 18 and transit up to Woodbridge,ON on that weeks trailer (would have been nice to see this information on the website). Past that I've received no new information and the order still has not arrived after the new date I was given.
Safe to say that I'll never be ordering another product from this company again. Nothing personal, (John seems like a cool guy and I don't blame him) but this is just not how you conduct business at this day in age. Shipping claims should be honoured, and in the case there may be complications, customers should be notified of shipment status and not have to chase after any sort of information themselves. It is false advertising to promote next-day shipping when you can't live up to that claim, ESPECIALLY if it could take WEEKS for anything to arrive. I've been incredibly patient with HottExhaust, so I'm hoping I get some sort of response from the company AND my exhaust sometime soon or else I expect a refund.
Although there are a few positive reviews from customers who DID get their product on time, the majority of reviews (across multiple websites) are overwhelmingly negative (yes, I know, my fault for not reading them before placing my order). If management truly cares about their business they should start reading and addressing these issues.

I receive the wrong part and I am unable to contact anybody by phone/mail/web form. I had to open a ticket at Visa for a refund :/

DO NOT purchase anything from this place. Terrible customer service, there is a woman that yells at you because their other people have the wrong information. Been trying for weeks to return the wrong parts they sent me and according to them, I have to ship them back out of my pocket. Unless you want to throw your money, don't bother. Terrible, if I could I would give them ZERO stars.

I think this business went downhill. Ordered four catalytic converters before and never had a problem. This last one I ordered never came and couldn't even get them on the phone or have them answer an e-mail. Had to dispute the charge on my credit card to get it removed.

Absolutely terrible customer service and customer relations. Our automotive repair shop had been buying quite a few catalytic converters for a few years from John at Hottexhaust and all was fine until I had one part that did not fit and tried to return it. Initially he said it was no problem and would arrange to get it back but it never happened. I tried to follow up but he stopped taking my calls, it took months and months and many phone calls to another Hottexhaust customer service line to finally get him to take the part back and now even since he has had it back for a few months I have not been refunded. He hasn't taken a phone call again since and I am tired of trying, I have to chalk it up to a loss. Obviously I am never buying from him again, I can not understand how he would feel that losing a customer for the sake of one return is worthwhile. My advice...do not deal with them, there are much better suppliers.

NEVER purchase anything from this company. Bad experience. I ordered a downpipe/cat assembly for my car. A week went by without any movement, so I contacted them, it is on a truck coming to us now and will be shipped from us Thursday, you will get it Friday. Next Friday arrived, nothing yet, so I contacted them again: Oh, your car needs a different cat core, so we are building it. They promised it will ship out Friday, as they will receive the cat core Thursday. Next week came and went. Tuesday I finally get a tracking number. I open the box, ok first problem, the order is not complete, 1 part is missing. Next problem, the assembly is not MagnaFlow assembled as I paid extra for.(~$100); it was made by them. So, I called John, he straight up lied to me telling me the different core is $700 compared to what I ordered, even though it's listed on their website for $258 CDN, so I should consider myself lucky they gave me a deal...? When I asked him why their website lists the other cat at $258, he said, ya but that's US$, um... $258 USD does not equal $700 CND. They have a Better Business Bureau rating of "F" for a reason.
