I bought a bed in a box while I was shopping for other things in the store (also bought a table while there). We purchased in Sept 2023 and put it into storage for after our renovations (making the sales rep aware this was our plan) unaware that if we did not open it immediately, the warranty was void and Teppermans would not lift a finger to help out, even though they did not relay this information. Fast forward 11 months, and it was time to move back in, I opened the bed, and it was damaged, I left in the plastic it came in. I phoned Tepperman's immediately after thinking they would be able to help. They let me know that the manufacturer could not replace the mattress as it was outside their warranty because it wasn't opened in the first 4-6 weeks, there was no warranty information included in the box once opened, nor was this information given to me at time of purchase. If I had known this, I would have opened it right away or delayed my purchase and saved myself the frustration, money and time this has taken from me. Even the customer service rep I initially talked to said he didn't know they were supposed to be opened in a specific time frame. I then thought to go into the store to talk to someone. I talked to a customer service manager who basically said you're SOL while reading a script. I talked to an escalation manager (Mackenzie) who said the same thing. No one was even willing to work with us at all even though it was their fault for not providing accurate information about their products they sell. I even messaged Andrew Tepperman too. I have been a loyal customer for 10 + years and nearly all my furniture and appliances have been purchased at Teppermans. They have lost a loyal customer.

After being a long-time loyal customer, we purchased a bed in a box for our son. Upon opening, the mattress was damaged, and we contacted customer service for assistance. They utilized their 24-hour policy, which was not communicated to us, stating that since it was not opened in 24 hours, they could not support or credit it. This was after numerous representatives told us there was a 4-6 week window. There was no warranty from the manufacturer provided, stating it needs to be opened in any timefrime. I'd caution dealing with their customer service team, specifically MacKenzie Bondy, who was unsupportive in this matter.
Based on their reply below, they claim we had the product open for over a year, which is incorrect. We purchased, knowing it would be in storage, and told the salesperson that. When we filed the claim it was before a year and we had just only opened it. The fact of the matter is Teppermans did not tell us to open it or it would be damaged so the time frame is irrelevant. We were not given the information we needed and the damage to the mattress is a direct result of that. Had we known we had to open it immediately, we would have done so OR not purchased to begin with.
Again, after being a loyal customer and constantly being told there is nothing they can do after selling us a damaged product, I'm extremely disappointed. Furthermore, the inconsistency in policies and timeframes (4-6 weeks or 24 hours) shows me they utilize this when they do not want to take ownership. I will follow the recommendations of others, and we will never shop here again.

Sales staff was no too pushy, was honest and did give me good laughs while doing up the order for our washer and dryer set. Then the Customer Service to do the financing was amazing and hilarious to deal with. Made the whole experience down to earth. Thank you Teppermans for being awesome.

What's with the BS online order scam where they take your order and your money, with certain supplier responsibilities but completely neglect them and push your premium order to double the delivery time time that the online purchase suggests??? No explanation, no forth coming behavior or explanation. They that your money and give excuses later.. This is bad business practice...

Went in on Sunday it was busy sales rep told us she was busy with customer and would get us someone. Derek showed up we talked about mattress said ok will buy it. Took him by surprise. Was treated well even in customer service. They are very professional at teppermans

Do not ever buy anything from the store that is in a box after we got home it was a wooden TV stand the wooden parts were broke and they didn't want to hear anything about it at the store at their store I would never purchase anything from that store again ever

Finding our new couch and loveseat was a breeze the sale staff was very friendly, now with that said the finance department proceeded to jerk me around over not having a flyer just to save the tax I'm a returning customer of theirs so I would expect better treatment, if they decide to credit me I'll will happily change my rating.

**Disappointed with the Delivery Service**
I recently had a frustrating experience with Teppermans delivery drivers. Instead of using the street, which had plenty of space, the driver chose to block the alley, inconveniencing local residents. When I politely pointed this out, the driver was dismissive and gave me attitude, which was completely unnecessary. It’s inconsiderate to block access when there are better options available, and this lack of professionalism is disappointing. I hope the company can improve its delivery service and train its drivers to be more respectful of the community.

This experience has been a nightmare. Customer service is the worse ever. Trying to get an issue resolved has been horrific and not very timely manner. When I asked to escalate the issue they said no. When, I asked to be transfered to the store I was put on hold for 15 minutes
