ToysRUs simply don't exist in the States anymore(yo my knowledge), so my kids aged 5 and 2 had never been to one. This place was a nostalgia bomb for me and a grand treat for my kids. Their first trip to Canada and the first place they see is Toys R US mission accomplished.

The store is very large and has a lot of items. It is well-equipped for each function, making it easy to find. Even though I didn't want to buy anything, I enjoyed looking around.

The Roundhouse Centre (across from Devonshire Mall) is a hassle to access from Howard Avenue due to the large amounts of traffic. I am old enough to remember when Toys R Us opened here at the Centre (1987/88) & I do remember going there for the first time with my mom, grandma and a classmate.
Today the Roundhouse Centre still has the Toys R Us but as whole the centre feels weathered and tired. A typical 1980s structure whereby access to parking was more important than pedestrian foot traffic. Though the LCBO at this site has a very good Vintage selection of wine, I tend to avoid it due to the hassles which I previously described.
