prompt, courteous service. was able to fit me in on the same day (on a sunday no less) while on a international road trip. cost me $1300 for 4 brake pads, 4 rotors, and 1 calliper. definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here for any needed repairs!

Ignored anything I told him, charged me for simply plugging in a scanner and reading the codes. Which I already did myself when I first called him, and then said to change coils and spark plugs for 450$+ which is not the problem, just the easiest answer. Rude, careless and unskilled. Real 'winners' there.

Went in for diagnostics. Told them the codes that were appearing from scanner results. 50$ and an hour plus later, I return to be told the same information I told him an hour earlier..

I took my Van to Mels because my front end suspension was making a clunking sound when I turned the wheel in reverse, I thought it could have been a Tie Rod end or something like that. Roy propped my van up on a hoist and spotted leaks in my front struts and everything else looked good. They replaced the struts and sway bars along with a 4 wheel alignmenet and we are back in bussiness. after balancing the wheels as well. there is no vibration while on the expressway. The group here at Mels are friendly and honest and will not steer you wrong.

Was driving back home to Kentucky from Guelph when my car broke down in Windsor. Even though it was a Sunday and most places were closed, staff immediately took the time to check the car out. Got the quote, part and repair all within 24hrs and we were back on the road.
Unbelievable service, not to mention incredibly kind and hard working and great prices. Cannot thank the staff there enough for helping my partner and I in such a time in need. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Was in Windsor for a family thing on Canada long weekend and took a nail. Being from ottawa and having a young child, I didn’t want to drive all the way back without a spare. While the tire was potentially patchable, I didn’t want to risk it. Roy was clear, professional and super honest. He wasn’t able to get the tires I needed from his supplier and said if I can find them, he would put them on. I was super thankful and offered to pay a margin on the tires but he said something along the lines of good karma promotes good karma. From start to finish, it was about 1.5 hours and I was able to make it back to ottawa that much safer. While other shops in the area wouldn’t even give me the time of day to help - as one of them said you live in ottawa and won’t be a repeat customer so I can’t give you priority - Mel’s auto and specifically Roy, treated me with respect and empathy. 6/5 stars! Thanks Roy!!

This is my first time getting my car repaired at Mel's. My 2012 Corolla started making a grinding noise and I took it to Mel's since he's open on Saturdays. I was attended to promptly by Roy who was transparent right off the bat about the inspection fee. He put the car on the lift, resolved the issue in less than 15 mins. The service charge was VERY reasonable. Fantastic experience, consistent with all the great reviews I read.
