Shopping in this store gives me a feeling of relaxation and Italian vibes. Best place to visit after finishing exam. In my opinion it is the best place in Windsor to get fresh meat with a good quality, based on my experience.

This is a great store. Forty years ago, I was a young university student living next door and the staff at La Stella were so sweet to me. I went back this past weekend and this store is still the best! Great place to shop, great people!

my wife has been coming here for almost a year now when she was pregnant the only thing she ever wanted was fresh mozzarella or fresh boconchini and by far she said they have the best fresh cheese she’s ever had to this day she still goes there to get some. good prices & good staff! keep up the good work!

Since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, La Stella Supermarket has woven its way into the fabric of my family's story, leaving behind many cherished memories. From the nostalgic sight of the delivery van winding through the old neighborhood streets, to the familiar smile of owner Jimmy as he welcomes us with open arms, La Stella embodies the very essence of our community.
Stepping across the threshold of La Stella feels like stepping back in time—a time when kindness, camaraderie, and care were the cornerstones of every interaction. The aisles are not just filled with products; they're lined with the echoes of generations of countless conversations and shared laughter.
Here, amidst the shelves adorned with treasures from Italy; each item tells a story, each scent evokes a memory. The deli & meat counter calls you over with its fine assortment of fresh cuts and in my opinion, the city's best fresh sausage. This is a true testament to generations of dedication and craftsmanship.
But beyond the shelves and displays, it's the people who breathe life into La Stella. The Pugliese family who has nurtured this haven since the late 1960s pours their heart and soul into every aspect of the business, infusing each visit with warmth and authenticity.
I can vividly remember the times when I used to visit La Stella with my Nonna frequently as a small child, her hand clasped in mine as we navigated the aisles, her gentle voice greeting friends and acquaintances alike and the memory of groceries sometimes being delivered to Nonna’s house is etched in my mind as a symbol of the personal touch that defines La Stella.
As I continue to walk these aisles, I find solace in the thought that soon, a new chapter will begin. With a new son on the horizon, the tradition of bringing him to La Stella will soon be ours to share—a legacy of love, laughter, and the timeless embrace of tradition.
Thank you, La Stella Supermarket, for being more than just a store. You are an oasis of nostalgia and a beacon of tradition in a rapidly changing world. Here's to the memories we've shared and the ones yet to come.

La Stella is GREAT! I have been a customer since they opened in 1969.
I usually get my groceries delivered, but if you do the shopping, they deliver for free. My produce is as good as if I picked it out personally ... and I'm picky. My meat is fresh and getting custom cuts is easy. I can get everything from Campbell's tomato soup KD mac & cheese to specialty Italian foods and steaks. Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful, making sure I get what I need and want!
